Great First Car Really Well Designed And Very Low Maintenance — Brilliant You can chuck it around corners like a go kart and the 1.5 engine means that there is a great power to weight ratio. Its loads of fun to drive. Its reliable and the maintenance costs are tiny. i spend about £100 a year on average and that includes the £40 mot test cost.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Small and powerful

Cons: High insurance group for such a small car

Pug 106 1.1 Review — I reliable little car thats runs brilliantly and is built like a tank. I can easily reach 70 MPH + even thought it is only a 1.1 litre Petrol. There is no rust on the arches or even under the vehicle.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: everything

Cons: small oil leak (normal for peugeots)

Buy It If You Can Fix It Or Afford The Service Bills — Clarkson and Co reckon the 106 GTI is one of the best handling front drive hot hatches there has ever been and I'm in complete agreement! Epic! Easy to work on, if only it wasnt let down by French Engineering! At least parts are cheap

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fast, Ridiculous Fun, awesome handling and great sound

Cons: If you dont know how to fix it, walk away!

I Just Love It. — *-Performance - Decent acceleration, good handling [; will improve on once lowered] *-Build Quality - So far no major repairs needed however some replacements had to be made [; headlights, fuse box, etc...] *-Appearance - Horrible cloth interior [*shudder*] but hoping to replace it with a Half-Leather interior from the GTI version. As for the exterior, it'll look much better after it's lowered and a set of Performance Superlites alloys go on, plus some smoothing ;]. *-Cost of Ownership - Approx. 600 miles / Full tank of gas. Can you say 'economic'? * Fun Factor - Haven't had the chance to drive it like I stole it yet...

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Quick and handles great and can also look great if body modifications are exectued well.

Cons: Grocery-getter status, unfortunately.

I Love My Pug — I love my car!!!!! I've had it for 3 years now, it's gone from being a plain old 1.1 with nappy bumpers to having a GTI kit put on it with neons, alloys, buckets seats and colour coded dashboard. I love it, i love it, I LOVE IT!!!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's small, fun and like a go kart!

Cons: I have one and i want to be the only one! lol :P

Peugeot 106 Gti — The 1.6 litre 16 valve engine coupled with a very lihtweight car, ensures great acceleration. It also handles well at lower speeds. Also cheap to maintain (although its in insurance group 16 which means my premiums are through the roof!). Does plenty of miles to the gallon as well, so long as you dont put your foot down too much... and im sure i have lead feet, so i only get about 25MPG. Looks pretty good on the outside... but the interior lacks style. But most deffinately the most fun ive had driving a car.

Pros: Acceleration, maintainance costs, exterior styling

Cons: Interior styling

Peugeat 106 — It has only 53 BHP out a 950cc engine, the acceleration is poor but has a great handling It's well build, haven't had many costs at it except the "join de cullasse" broke twice. It does 6-7 litres per 100 kilometers with my driving style. I own it for 7 years now and haven't had any accidents with it (yet)

Pros: Nothing particular

Cons: The brakes are not that good
