Gotta Get Another One — it goes and does whatever i need it to do. jeeps with a bunch of mods will take you to new places. you can not pass up the quality of a jeep by anything. i have more than five jeeps and i can't find a better vehicle out there.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: its unstoppable

Its Ok For Getting Around And Maybe As A Family Car — gas mileage isnt the best. Braking isnt bad as long as u dont have a lot of things to weight the car down The car does rattle a lot, and the body tends to crack and break easily even if u are gentle with it. if u want to go off roading u can its not that bad. the cost of ownership is pretty cheap actually. The car is fun for the most part, as long as u like to curb hop but other than that its not anything great.

    Pros: u can curb hop

Cons: its not fast or sexy

97' Grand Cherokee Zj — Best vehicle I ever owned. 31" BFGoodrich A//Ts, WAAG brush guard and side steps, AUX lighting. Great performance, comfortable, offroad worthy. Wrecked in collision with Ram 3500, (not at fualt) EMS said had I not been in such a safe vehcle, would not have walked away.

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: None

I've Never Once Regretted Buying It If You Only Want To Spend $3k. — If you're going to buy a used Grand Cherokee make sure you get the inline 6 cyl and not the 8. I have 125k miles on mine and it drives like new. No major repairs not related to regular wear and tear have been needed.

Pros: It'll go anywhere, even with bad tires.

Cons: If you're buying a used one do your research and inspect closely or you could end up with a heap.

I Love Jeeps — I love this Jeep. This Jeep and i have gone though a lot. She is 12 years old and is still running strong. The only thing i need to do now i get her lifted and put bigger tires on her.

Pros: She is a good truck and we have gone though hell together.

Cons: She does not get good gas mileage

Workhorse - Only Work And No Fun. —

This is a '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, my first ever SUV. I took it over from a staff member when I thought the extra room and off road ability made sense for the amount of out-ot-town business travel I had to do. It did had a calming effect on me when I was stuck in highway tracfic jams during snow storms. The 4.2L inline 6 cylinder engine was rather agricultural sounding when revved, and did not provide enough torque in the low rpm range. The truck felt clumsy around town as a result. The AWD system was of part-time design but worked surprisingly well - 4WD can be engaged on-the-fly and had a lock-up mode for real slippery stuff! Appropriately equipped with Nokian Hakkapeliita 9 snow tires in the winter, this truck could fly on the snow packed fast lane on the highway without drama. Due to the lack of CV joint (only equipped with U-joints) in the front transaxle, tight turns were very unpleasant when 4WD was engaged. There was nothing luxury about this truck, from the infrared door lock/unlock remote, to the two tone (meaning raw plastic cladding below the belt line) paint job (with sub par paint quality and colour choices), and a grey colour interior covered with average quality plastic. The ride was faily stiff - leave spring stiff (although I wasn't sure if they were indeed employed). Engine and wind noise were bordering on intrusive, but acceptable. I used this truck a lot for trips on winding country roads to-an-from golf courses, while it gave me tremendous sense of security, the drives weren't spirited nor exciting. The truck was considered reliable as the only problem I encountered was a faulty a/c evaporator which was replaced under warranty (the dash had to be taken out, and waited a week for parts). I recognized the potential of this chassis so I traded it in for a Limited model with better power train and interior appointment. The review can be found under my '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

    Pros: Simple go anywhere truck.

Cons: Unresponsive drive train which also lacked refinement.

Grand Cherokee — Considering the engine now has around 200,000 miles on it, with minimal parts replaced, this car runs like a piece of gold. My only real complaint is the handling is not very responsive, you have to turn the wheel more than on any other car even if you want to just go slightly to the left or right. However, the jeep is very spacious. But at 13 MPG, the space is best used for trips to the grocery store.

Pros: -Spacious -Even when old, runs like its new

Cons: -Gas Mileage -Handling not very tight

Go Anywhere Do Anything In Comfort — Best Car I have ever owned. Very reliable and will go any where.. Rain, snow, ice, mud, deep woods, it just goes.. Pulls like a mule.. I haven't gotten stuck with it ever.. I love my Jeep. Almost no maintance even after 175,000 miles, it just keeps on going. I will by another one, but untill my 4 month old son gets his licence I will keep driving this one. I have no doupt it will last that long and longer.

    Pros: Goes anywhere, Comfortable, Reliable

Cons: 15mpg in city, it doesn't have a 8 foot bed...
