Keeps On Truckin' — The Ranger accelerates pretty well; I mean i can beat most other light trucks off the Red light. It is also very well built, save for the occasional parts that need replacing. Unfortunately the Gas mileage is pretty low, but the Truck is both fun to drive and has an abundance of after market parts available. The 97 ranger looks good, but in my opinion the 98 look much better.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its practical, and fun!

Cons: Gas mileage is pretty low

All Around Good Truck — Relly good truck to own it out works any dodge or chevey any day I have had up to 3000 lbs in the bed of it and she drove like it was nothing. She has a lot of power for a 4 celender

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its a Ford

Cons: only a 4 celender

Great Little Truck — still in showroom condition 75,000 miles great truck never had any problems i own two other rangers 2001 and a 2002 all three are good trucks i wouldn't own any other truck. Fords are the best **** the rest i sold my 90 ranger at 150,000 mi and the guy still drives it everyday

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Super — I admit this thing isn't great in the snow, but this car drove great otherwise. It could turn on a dime, drove great, wow I miss that thing. I never thought I would drive a truck, but I loved that thing!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Awesome

Cons: If your ranger is rear-wheel drive, don't drive in the snow.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Clean look and fun to drive

Your Last Resort Of Transportation — Its too old! and after i put the lowering kit on it it kinda creeks like an old man. other than that ive never had any problems with my truck. also it is a stick with 160, 000 on the original clutch it sucks

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: nothing

Cons: everything

Affordable Tough Truck — I have a 2.3 L and it is pretty slow. The thing is tough as a rock though. 20MPG :). I like working on it and can be cleaned up very nicely. Ride qualtiy is fine, it would be nicer if I got new shocks.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Affordabilty

Cons: it isn't a show car, but could be made into one

Ok — it needs a transmission. but the body is in good shape. motor has 160,000 miles though. it gets me rom A to B. it only cost me 1200. i put 1600 into it though. light truck so it can be fun around corners when its not actiing up.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable

Cons: Transmission

It Is Great On Gas — its a v6 and needs to be a v8 then it would have the power to get up the road. it runs fine and hauls what i need to haul. great on gas that would be the reason i bought the truck.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: gas economy

Cons: v6 engine to small 30

Great Little Truck For The Average Homeowner. — Not the best acceleration for a v-6. Very useful for someone who needs a pick-up. Just wish that they thought more into the comfort factor. Great little truck for a do it yourself home owner. Nice little truck for a fair price.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: economical

Cons: comfort and acceleration
