1997 Ford PumaReview

Ford Puma 1997 1.7l — A nice and quick two seater (these two back seats are good only for small shopping bags). Acceleration is very good, braking and handling is nice. The engine is just perfect for car of such small weight. The main drawback is poor chassis. It's totally vulnerable to bad roads. Bumps, even small holes are well felt when riding and break chassis parts at no effort at all. And the repair is costly.

Pros: Quick and fun to ride, good mileage

Cons: weak chassis, lots of blind spots, not friendly for tall drivers

1997 Ford PumaReview

Bring Back The Ford Puma — The Ford Puma was a great car and should still be in production! It's so pretty - a real girls car. Mine was the 1.7l, bright red with the lux pack incl a/c and an optional CD too. Great performance, really nippy, but a bik skittish on country roads. Rear seats only suitable for under 5' 4" adults or children - only seats 4. Small boot but expanded by folding the rear seats down. Worst fault was very poor rear view esp for reversing/parking. Relatively cheap to run except fairly high insurance group.

Pros: Nippy, great fun, very pretty

Cons: Lack of rear space, small boot
