Ford F150 Xlt 3 Door Stepside — It is very roomy in the cab, it actually feels more roomy that our Full size car, my wife even agrees on that. I have bucket seats up front which is nice because it is a standard and if there was someone in the middle seat shifting would be a pain.

Pros: Roomy, Standard Tranny, 4.2L V6 (does everything I need to do with it).

Cons: Needed a little work when I got it because it had been sitting a little while, but it was worth it.

Great Truck — It was really powerful. I loved the Triton V-8 engine. It was really fun to drive, almost too easy to speed in though. Mine was only a 2 Wheel-drive vehicle, which is probably the only thing I would have changed about it. I really loved the bright red color. It was also way too expensive, which is why it was eventually repossessed.

Pros: power

Cons: cost

Im Not Sure What This Means.... — My truck is great on performance, I havent had any problems with him yet. His build is good with a pretty strong frame built only by Ford (yeah im a Ford Girl). Although hes 11 years old, his interior is still very nice and the exterior is still quite nice too, although there are two places that are starting to chip on his tailgate. Hes just a good time, not great on gas mileage, but not too bad either. I love crusin around in him checkin out the cowboys!

Pros: Hes a truck, mainly...I'm a country girl so I need a truck that can handle all the stuff I put it through...haulin hay, muddin, and town driving too

Cons: The only negative with my truck is that he doesnt get great gas mileage...he doesnt get as bad as other vehicles I know but he could be better still.

Be Aware Of This Truck If You Don't Know What You Are Getting Into — Okay if you are ever going to buy a late model ford f-150 you better steer clear of it especially if it has the 4.2 litter v-6. Ford was dumb enough to put aluminum heads on a cast Iron block and they didn't machine the heads to were the heat could get out quickly so around 80000 miles it throws the connecting rod through the oil pan and runs your motor of course then the idiots building it put plastic in the front wheel bearings and they are junk we had them rebuilt about 2000 miles ago and it doesn't get very good fuel economy it only gets about 17 and 19 if you are lucky. My advise to anybody wanting to buy a truck like this just be prepared to deal with cheap manufacturing. Ford won't even admit that they had problems with this motor. Also if you buy the manual transmission its notorious for burning clutches

Pros: It runs and it was cheap to buy

Cons: poor quality all together

'97 Ford F-150 — Ok well this truck is my first truck and I completely enjoy driving it. Its a 2wd V8, and it runs like a dream. The only problems I have experienced with it would be the countless recalls on the cruise control, exhaust, seat mounts, and so on and so on... So I would totally recommend this car to a friend because it is a great ride!

Pros: Handling, Traction, Towing,

Cons: Recalls, Stock stereo system and CD player

Best Truck Since 1975 — I love my 1997 Ford F-150 Lariat. It was previously owned by a doctor so it was taken care of. Gas kinda sucks on it but thats alright i guess! Of course since it is a truck it is hell of fun to drive. And the 5.4L Triton has PLENTY of get up and go and torque for hauling.

Pros: FORD!

Cons: Half Ton

All Over Its A Great Truck And Ill Keep Rebuilding It Till It Cost To Much. — Love my V-8 engine with a 4.6L. Good pick up, great top speed. Overall apperence is awesome, only downside is that all three of my doors are rotting at the bottom and need to be replaced and my step bars into the truck have rust holes in them. I have 17" super swappers on them, with an upgraded suspension and towing package. Looking to put a lift kit on it this summer for an increse of 6".

Pros: Sharp Looking

Cons: Rust is starting to show

Sturdy, Homey, And Lovable. — I've had my F-150 for a long time now and I have really enjoyed it. No, it doesn't stop on a dime and no it doesn't go zero to sixty in four seconds but it's still a really reliable car. I personally can't handle a car that twitches when you touch the steering wheel, comes to a screeching halt when you tap the brakes, and goes zero to a hundred in two seconds when you press the gas. For people who are used to cars like that, I do not recommend the 1997 Ford F-150.

Pros: Sturdy, takes a licking and keeps on ticking, comfortable interior, not
too long for maneuvering through parking lots and narrow places,
handling is good.

Cons: Front heavy, skids easily, no 4-wheel Drive, braking faulty because of
front heaviness, acceleration nonexistent.
