I Love Big Red And He Has Not Quit On Me Or My Grandpa — i love big read. he was originally my grandfathers and i was lucky enough to get this truck. It has a 5.4L triton v8 with a K&N cold air intake. Heads, exhaust, and flow-masters on the tailpipes for a nice low rumble. It has the horsepower to have a mind of its own. with the Goodyear wranglers on it i cant complain. overall i love my truck and its got at least 300hp+ and a 400lb-tq

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: its a 4x4 with performance upgrades and it will haul if you have supreme in the tank

Cons: none

I Would Recommend This Truck To Anybody — the good things bout the truck is it drives great its got plenty of power it will get the job done and not hesitate about it the only bad thing bout it is that 4.6 under the hood has a drinking problem lol

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: its an over all great truck

Cons: its a gas hog

You Get What You Pay For I Guess. — As for performance, it's a good ride. The appearance is nice, however gas mileage is much to be determined. It's not the most fun vehicle on the planet. As for the build quality, the chassis has rusted out on the rear-end of the vehicle, along with the pan and radio (yes, it happened). The chassis ended up cracking and needed to be replaced. Other than that, it's a half decent vehicle.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: For a four weel drive vehicle, it has power.

Cons: Cracking chassis seems to be an issue.

Amazing Truck. Best You Can Have! — I love my truck. The person before us put a cattle guard on it, tail light covers, and a glass pack. It's a small 4.6L V8 but it works I guess. :P The gas mileage REALLY sucks. I have to put gas in it every other day unless I don't drive it for a day or two. The hood is starting to lose some paint, but that's the only flaw other than small scratches/some white paint from being mainly a work truck. Oh an it's supposed to be dual exhaust, BUT one rusted out and it kept banging on the bumper so we had to get rid of that portion. The person before us also never gave it a tune up. It had the original spark plugs and boots since 97 until about a year ago. Great truck. It has it's flaws like every other car, but hey.. It's a Ford. :D

Pros: It's a Ford!

Cons: Gas mileage, and last spark plug on the passenger side is a pain in the ass to get to.

Ford F-150... Candy Apple Grapple... — Acceleration is pretty good. it has needed repairs... a lot... braking is a bit too much. it handles great. bout 20 mpg and it uses oil. it isnt that exciting to drive... except going around a corner on a dirt road, then u can have fun sliding the back end out.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun to go on a dirt road round a corner. great on corners.

Cons: sucks gas...

Great Truck — i love the truck because it has the power and how it handles. It is amazing in build quality too because it is a '97 and only needs the shifting indicator and the back window fixed. It is a all around great car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: great power

Cons: none

Solid — it's good enough for a first car, it's lasted for a long time and stuff dosen't really go wrong with it. After all the performance add-ons i have it's fairly quick, at least quick enough to beat stock trucks that are 12 years newer

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it's quick

Cons: it's old

If I Could Get Any One Of My Past Cars Back And Keep The One I Have Thats The One I Would Want — it was the best looking out of all my trucks, it was shiney and fun to drive since it was a 5 speed. even tho it only had a v6 if I could get on it hard enough it would hold the big v8 they put in the same truck. it handled ok, but since it was 4x4 sat kinda high.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun, manuverable for its size, and would go anywhere (just about)

Cons: mileage was so so in town, and only sat 3 ppl
