Pretty Nice Ride — acceleration could be a little bit better but i can live with it, does really good burnouts, pretty comfortable. all in all not to bad of a truck

Pros: pretty good power, good burnouts, drifts really good.

Cons: gas is a bit much, handling could be improved.

A Fast, Light, Off-road Capable Pickup — This is a 97 chevy halfton, its got a 350 Vortec in it, its fast as hell, gets ok gas mileage, and is a breeze to drive

Pros: Fast, 4WD strong, amazing tire set

Cons: hard suspension, interior is kinda noisy

My Best Friend — Generally I am just a Chevrolet Person so this truck is regardlessly amazing. The only thing I don't like about the actual truck is that it isn't 4WD and has no pull once stuck. However that's only because it's not 4WD and not its fault. However I'd trust this truck to take me to Cali & back on a single oil change! I love it.

Pros: Reliable, Good for Hauling, Bench Seat ;), Cruise, Never breaks down

Cons: MPGs, 2WD, Siding stuff's coming off and taking paint with it.

It's Not Stock, But Its Not Bad! — I have owned it since 1999. It has over 290,000 km's on it. I have no complaints other than it is starting to rust. but that is my fault as it should have been oiled every year. Other than a couple starters and alternators, and fuel pumps I have replaced very few "stock" parts. Just the tranny, and intake manifold gasket(due to that shitty GM Dexcool crap) and a transmission computer. I am surprised that I have only ever replaced the brakes once!

Pros: it wins trophies

Cons: I lowered it

Great Truck — My 97 Silverado has been a great truck in the 6 years I've owned her all I have had to replace is an alternator, water pump, intake gasket (very common problem with these trucks) and 2 batteries. It does have a slow freon leak that I can't seem to find but the AC still blows cold when full. I replaced the engine and transmission but because I wanted a V8 and Automatic, not because there was anything wrong with the 135,000 mile 4.3 V6 and 5 speed trans. They are both still running strong in another truck.

Owner for 6 years, 8 months

Miles Driven per Year:4,000

Pros: Great styling and modern comfort for a low price

Cons: I can't think of any. I love this truck as much now as when I first bought her 6 years ago.

Love The Truck Style And Ride!! Hate All The Work I Have To Keep Doing. — We love this truck. The engine, 350 5.7ltr V8, is awesome its pretty fast for truck and the style of it is perfect for us. The only problem is everthing keeps going out or breaking. We have replace almost everything but the engine on this truck but we did have to replace the intake and head gaskets and had my engine on my garage floor for weeks!!!!

I Love It!! — This V8 makes the miles per gallon a little more expensive but Its cheaper to ensure a month so it evened out.. I bought this truck as a work truck but is a great family vehicle as well with plenty of room. I cant compare with other trucks because this is my first but I absolutely love it!!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Cargo, Space inside, a/c and heat work great..Runs great

Cons: Gas Mileage
