A Really Good Old Car That Still Looks Good With No Rust! — The car is almost 13 years old and has about 114.000 miles on it. Runs really good and is very dependable. Has power everything and was 30,000 dollars when bought brand new. The biggest problem about this car is that it only gets like 8 MPG city and like 12 MPG Highway!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its a car=]

Cons: its old and the radio sucks=[

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Sure — The blazer is packed with a big V6 pumping 190 horse. Pulls two snowmobiles for me like its a job and 23 miles to the gallon is not to bad. Get out and buy one of buy mine. Its a good deal.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: 4x4

Cons: filling it with gas and now a V8

Go Blazerrrrr — Paint is good, build quality poor (lots of rattles and squeaks) 4.3L is pretty peppy and decent on gas Lots of money in repairs (over 5 years and 57,000 miles) Yeah I enjoy driving it and beating on it daily

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

1997 Chevy S-10 Blazer — I picked this up when i got my licence, so it is my first car. It held up amazingly well to the get footed teenagers... As far as the Build quality i give it an A+++++ it has been offroaded multi time, droven off two foot ledges, hit a island in a parking lot going about 30-35 and kept going, and not to mention it was t-boned in the back passanger door going what was prob about 20 mph... and was all fixed for 50 buck... just needed a door and a little body filler... the only problems that i have had with it was a bad ignition switch and something with the electric 4x4 that caused it lo fail or lock in Four wheel drive... and the last thing was mostly an operaters fault not mechanical error. i was driving up a three or four foot snow bank and got stuck and in the process of getting out the reverse gear was blowen out

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: rock soild

Cons: the negitives are they dont build them like this anymore

Love The Car Runs Well — This vehicle give me decent gas milage runs good, some things to go wrong with it but its penny ante things not the real expensive things. Has great pic up a 4.3 engine.. hence the reason its penny ante stuff. has just enough room for my husband me and three kids without having to get a van..lol

Pros: runs well good on gas spaciaus

Cons: engine penny and dimes a couple time a year

1997 Chevrolet Blazer — 210 Hp vortec v6. 4L60E automatic transmission. the only thing is, i think its gonna need a new one. gets 20 miles per gallon. When i first got it i used it to tow a 20 foot utility trailor, and it did as expected. A little sluggish. Of course it was replacing a 1996 Ford F-250 with a 351 CI 5.8L Windsor V8. Now tilt your head and say, HUH?

Pros: Good Gas Milage

Cons: Blazers have several hard to fix problems. Mine is currently not showing any. Other than the transmission.

Torquey Little Bugger — Performance is awesome, I have beaten STI's off the line, but of course after that I lost. It is a pain in the ass to fix, that engine bay is tiny and full of a big V6. Styling is very conservative and easy to improve upon. MPG's are dercent for a mid 90's SUV, parts are cheap but not easy to put on. The steering is quite tight for a vehicle of this size so it is a fun drive. I do not recommend this car to anyone who does their own work, but if you are never going to turn a wrench on it this is a good vehicle

Pros: Fun drive

Cons: Repairs are a pain

1997 Chevrolet Blazer 4wd — My ride for most of my college years, this was one of those "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" situations. I wasn't too terribly impressed with the gas mileage, but I do tend to push my rides quite a bit. With this ride I discovered just what POS's the Sony Xplod line of stereos are, and that I'll never trust a car stereo shop's work again (they left the 4wd controls disconnected). It was a comfortable ride, though, and served us well for the few years we had it.

Pros: Comfortable and spacious

Cons: Pretty poor gas mileage on the V6, granted I did drive the thing pretty hard. Trunk space couldn't properly fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood or drywall.

Miles Driven per Year:8,000

Pros: size, looks drivability

Cons: electronics.
