1997 BMW 3 Series 318i Convertible RWD Review
capota22 says:
The car is a nice good looking car, like many other BMWs. The cargo space is good and the power is pretty good. But the car unless you buy it new, is not reliable. When somethings goes wrong, after a few years or thousand miles on it. The maintenance becomes a serious issues. unless you are wealthy, it is not a recommendable car to buy if compare with a Mazda Miata. It also depends how big or not are you. Since this car it would be more comfortable if you are taller than 61 and weight over 210lbs.

"I ended up buying an used Miata with low mileage (49,000 miles) cause the great condition of the car, reliability, and the fun i get driving the miata it is priceless."

For under 4 Grand at 120000 miles and auto convertible top is still working Id say I came out good. The manual 5 speed is fun especially in the mountains. Looks are timeless and I feel like a million bucks for 3300.00.

1997 BMW 3 Series 318is Coupe RWD Review
BoxsterBran says:
A reliable and safe car that lasts a very long time. This is my daily drivr and it now has 186,000 miles and Ive replaced the drive shaft, drive axals, and clutch. Other then that just fluid changes. Very predictable to drive at speed and practical in layout.

Back Seats Ranked 1999 Porsche Boxster Base worse.
"Boxster has no back seats, the front seats practically rest back on the engine!:)"
Cargo Capacity Ranked 1999 Porsche Boxster Base better.
"Although the BMW might techniquely have more space, the Boxster has two trunks, one deep on up front that fits a golf bag and one in the rear that fits typical luggage suit cases. My wife and I can easily find enough room to go on vacation with the Boxster."

Best engine in my opinion, quick, great car, but complicated to work on, the average person will have issues, understanding how to add coolant, which can be confusing not knowing about the bleeding SOP.
