Great Car For Anything And Everything!! — I love everything about it, except gas milage gets at least around 17-18 miles a gallon. I don't like the fact that it's a automatic, but its a great vehicle..! I would def buy another one or a Wrangler..!!!

Pros: Great Vehicle

Cons: If you don't make much, gas milage is low

'96 Jeep Grand Cherokee — I like the versatility of the vehicle. I dislike the poor fuel mileage. The mid '90s paint is delaminating and comes off in sheets off the roof. With studded snow tires the Jeep handles winter weather well. Overall it's a good vehicle with decent build quality. The only problems have been the exhaust manifold and radiator.

Pros: Great in the snow

Cons: Poor mileage and performance with six cylinder, delaminating paint

800,000 Or Bust — This is my second Grand Cherokee, bought after my first one ended up in a creek. A lot of the Limited features were new to me at the time, but now I wonder how I ever drove a GC without them. The tranny was factory rebuilt right before the 100,000-mile warranty expired, and I'm only now (at 164,xxx) starting to notice a little slippage between 1 & 2. Only one major repair so far, to the steering column/stabilizing arm; everything else has been like a rock. I recently replaced the stock air intake with a 3.5" stainless cold air intake and cone filter...that upgrade alone has increased the highway MPG from 19 to 23 (and yes, this is the 5.2L V8 we're talking about here). I do wish the rear seats folded completely flat (like my '93 Laredo's did), but it's a small point. Everything else is great, and I'm expecting it to stay that way for at least 636,000 more miles!

Pros: Always reliable, and great gas mileage for a V8.

Cons: The leather seats are cold as hell in the winter.

N/a — When i first saw the jeep it didn't take me very long before i knew that i wanted it. The body was in great shape for an 96, it only had 235000 kms on it. I plan on turning it into a 4 wheeler when it is paid off. It is a great truck to drive.

Pros: Strong engine, handles good, lots of room.

Cons: nothing

Very Sturdy Car — got it in september '07 axel was (and still is) terribly off center. i was in an accident with another car that completely destroyed the other car but left mine with just one light damaged on the passenger side so this car holds up very well. plus the car is just beautiful.

Pros: beautiful. sturdy

Cons: gas miliage. car gets about 8 miles per gallon

Comfortable On Road, Capable Off Road, Terrible Fuel Economy. Love It. — I bought it Christmas of '07, and it has been very good to me. I have driven plenty of cars, mostly SUVs, and I cannot get over how good the ride is. I have back problems and this car does not do any harm at all. It has a 5.2L V8, which means it can barely manage 12 mpg, but it can accelerate pretty quickly, 8.5 seconds. Hell, that is not far off from the 4 cylinder Alfa Brera. I barely pass emissions tests, but this car is going to be with me for a while, wether the environmentalists like it or not!

Pros: Very squishy seats, can go anywhere, can be fixed with a brick and a
string, very decent acceleration (8.5 seconds) for a flying brick on
wheels.

Cons: Terrible fuel economy (12 mpg), spare tire in trunk area, trees hate it
(but who cares?).

Great For Its Time — The 1996 Grand Cherokee is an incredibly capable all-weather vehicle. With a 5.2L V8 motor, it's plenty quick to get where you need to go and haul most of what you need behind.

Pros: V8 power, simple design, Infinity Gold stock stereo.

Cons: NP249 transfer case and Dana 44 aluminum rear axles are trouble spots with all V8 Grand Cherokees from 1993-1998.  Gas mileage?  If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
