Cherokee: Jeeps Red-headed Stepchild. — Jeep has always made some solid off-road vehicles. Probably some of the best. The Cherokee, while it may not be the most popular, is still one of the better vehicles that Jeep made. The 4.0 HO straight six puts out excellent torque and power and can pull the Cherokee through just about anything. Build quality can be questionable when considering how vulnerable the floors are to rust. Cherokees are notorious for rotted floors and the unibody construction does not help to make this an easy fix. If you pick up a Cherokee with solid floors, however, expect to find that it's one of the most reliable vehicles made. The 4.0 engine will turn 300,000 miles if it's taken care of properly and will outlast the rest of the vehicle. Gas mileage ranges. With 30 inch MTRs and a 5 speed transmission, I manage to get about 23/24 mpg.

Pros: Reliable, strong vehicle.

Cons: Floors intensely vulnerable to rust.

1996 Green Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Liter High Output 6 Cyl. — I like it a lot. Have had a couple problems with it but I will always have a place in my heart for Jeeps. The performance is great, I have a Flowmaster muffler on it and I just changed the sparks, the points, and the air filter. Doesn't cost much to own especially since it is a manual transmission and doesn't burn that much fuel. Really fun to drive. I recommend it!!!

Pros: Fun to drive sounds and funs great

Cons: could look better want a better set of wheels (alloys) I have steel rims on now

Jeep Cherokee — accelerates pretty danm fast for a jeep. decent braking and great handling. still runs pretty good. both interior and exterior is good. gas mileage could be a bit better. about 15 miles to the gallon. doesnt take much to maintain it. just keep on changing the oil. super fun. even though its not 4wd i still treat it like it is lol. anybody whos thinking about gettin one i recommend it. good reliable vehicles and fun to drive.

Pros: fun and reliable

Cons: bad on gas

Woody Ending — i drove this car for about 6 months and ended up putting it against a tree on accident. it isn't a bad vehicle if you live out in the country and may need 4wd for snow or something

Pros: 4wd

Cons: when not in 4wd it is really unstable

Jeeeeeeep — Owned it for years love it for everything handling braking acceleration, just watch pulling with it as the older they get the rear unirail frame rails get a little weak

Pros: 4 WD

Cons: unirail bodies are weak off road

Good All Around Vehicle — This vehicle was a good, solid truck. not overly roomy inside but comfortable to drive.. almost car-like. fuel mileage was ok for an SUV but if the fuel tank was low the fuel would slosh in the tank so bad that during cornering, the fuel pump would not pick up any fuel, causing engine hesitation. these vehicles are also prone to rust on the body. Only other issue i had with mine was a driveline imbalance that caused shaking at freeway speeds. you could remedy this somewhat by putting it in on-demand 4wd.

Pros: engine, acceleration, driving comfort, winter traction, on-demand 4wd feature (allows for
AWD on pavement.)

Cons: fuel tank design, driveline issues, mediocre brakes, small interior

It Is A Great Go Anywhere Do Anything Kind Of Vehicle. — Functionality and power all in one nice and neat package has its benefits. What the cherokee lacks in sound proofing or comfort it easily makes up for in its fun drivability and raw power from a never dying inline 6 cylinder that has been around since the original jeep days with few changes.

Pros: Torque, steering, indestructible exterior, style

Cons: Gas mileage, comfort, noise

Big Bertha — Amazing truck. this truck was about 8-9 years old and the only problems i ever had was putting a new muffler on it, and fixing the ignition.

Pros: big ol monster

Cons: no suspension
