All Around Great Truck — Awesome Z71, will get up and go, the quality is great, performance is also great, it has a flowmaster exhaust system on it, it also has a K&N Air Filter on it. It is already payed off so it is the perfect vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Whole lot of power and great traction

Cons: No Air Conditioner haha, but we are putting a new compressor and everything in it in a few weeks

Get One, Dont Regret It, They Are Becoming Hard To Find (z71 88-98) — performance- the vortec 350 is night and day difference vs the tbi 350, it really screams up top build quality- shes pretty stout for the body having 300k little squeak here and there. the motor and trans have 40k on them so i'll be good for a while appearance- interior is all stock, outside is a gorgeous fire truck red, it has a 4 inch lift and 33s. new z71 decals and emblems cost of ownership- haha break the bank on fuel, regular maintenance and she is good to go fun factor- its boring, unless your out in the woods. it'll crawl through just about anything (within reason)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: quality. like chevy said, built like a rock

Cons: fuel mileage, but its a truck. dont expect hybrid mileage (those are gay btw)

Damn Fine Truck — 170,000 miles and no replacements except for a new starter, for the smaller V8 (5.0L not 5.7L) it still has a lot of towing power. I have treated it like a 3/4 ton truck and it has handled every load even 3.5 tons!! of hay up and down mountians at 50mph at 2500 rpm!!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Good all around Pickup

Cons: Not much room for more than 2 passingers

Its A Great Truck — Its a very good truck, the only major thing i replaced on it was the flywheel but that was brought on by myself. i also did i little work to the tranny and the rear end to make it a little better also just straight piped it to make it sound mean.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Its Loud

Cons: Independent Front Suspension

Kiss My Emissions! — I love the the 96-98 body style of the chevy. I hope to trade this one in on a 98 ext cab with 3rd door. My truck now has a 305, way under powered when pulling over 3500lbs but great when under or empty. Fuel mileage is 14 in the city and 15.6- 16 on the highway. great shape for the year. This is my cowboy cadillac.

Pros: i love playin in the mudd

Cons: why avoid a v8 4x4? i cant think of any reasons.

White Truck — Don't mind the V6, surprising quick with the 5 speed. Mostly used as a daily driver, and helpful when moving in and out of school, payload pretty average. Parts are cheap and most everything is easy to do yourself. Get low twenties for gas mileage up to 25 if mostly highway driving. Usually get 21 combined.

Pros: Simplicity, Fuel Economy

Cons: Underpowered

My 96 Chevrolet Truck — It's a Chevrolet.. The best. There is nothing that i don't love about my truck. I'd have to say my favorite feature is the 350 V8. Tons of power!!! and it still gets 22 on the highway. I drive back and fourth from Lubbock to Austin once a month and she hasn't let me down yet. Built to last, looks great, performs well and it's fun to drive.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing
