Reliable — good starter car, great mpg, unfortunately in white it seems to resemble an old persons car, goes fast, small and easy to handle, no real blindspot, on the downside, very small in comparison to others on the highway and would not fair well in an accident

    Pros: low mpg

    Cons: looks

Best Car I've Ever Bought! — Performance : Brilliant, I say. As this car's 4A-FE engine produce 116hp @ 6000rpm of power and 137Nm of torque @ 4800rpm, enough for high speed driving while keeping the fuel efficiency rate high. Tested 0-60mph @ 15sec on its original setting, not bad for a 1.6L engine compared to other engines. Superb for daily driving, but if you suddenly got the need for speed, this car could fit your need easily. If you're hungry for more power, you could swap it with a more powerful 4A-GE or the monstrous 4A-GZE supercharged engine. Build Quality: Very good, I have experience few minor bumps and a major crash but still running. You could rely on the construction strength if you suddenly crash into something. But aware of the lower section such as suspension, ball joint, steering rack etc. as these parts need a little more attention than any other parts. Appearance: Masculine yet gentle. The appearance won't let you down when you get side-by-side with newer cars. The models is everlasting and never gets old. A few tweaks will make this car's appearance even more. Cost of Ownership: Gas mileage is quite economic as you can get 10km out of 1 Liter of fuel. Maintenance cost is not a problem if you could afford about 200 US$/year. But a complete renewal such as engine overhaul, body repainting & repairing, etc. can cost you over 2.000 US$. Fun Factor: Can keep the smile on your face whatever you do, driving, racing, or even show-off!

    Pros: Performance, Fuel Efficiency, Appearance

Cons: Durability of the suspension components

The Littlest Of All Corollas — Well the car is a good little car for going back and forth. It does have its fun moments when you pull the e-brake in dirt or something else that's loose. The nice thing to remember is that it has a rally spirit but mine has been tamed for the road.

Pros: Good Gas Milege, Rally Spirit, and plays the "modest" car well

Cons: Wish it had a little more umph. but it has that, "I don't like you but I can't leave you" feel to it

My Old Toyota Does The Job ... And That's About It. — The dang thing lasts! It takes plenty of neglect and just keeps on going. It's totally ordinary and unexciting, and loud and constantly going out of tune. It's got pretty soft brakes and pretty hard seats. Its features weren't even cool when it was new. But it just keeps on getting us from point A to point B.

    Pros: lasts, reliable

Cons: loud, low-performance, soft brakes, slightly uncomfortable, uncool

I Named Her Torolla — This isn't a performance car by any means. It's a 4AFE engine family which means a mere 1.6L of displacement. However if it were to get a swap for a SilverTop, then she'd be fun. The one thing she's got on the performance side is good balance. Wheelbase and ride height combine for excellent handling, considerring that this is NOT a sports car. So the focus on the build was to further enhance its excellent control characteristics. For now, this car still has the 4AFE engine in it, with a few mods to let her breathe easier. SilverTop is coming soon. Build quality is far from any experiences consumers have had with North American cars. It would take too long to describe what I mean, but trust me, her true beauty is: When shes broken, she'll still run. Fix her eventually, but she won't let you down when she's hurt. This makes cost of ownership very easy to live with. I would definatly (and I have in the past) recommend this car to anyone that has nothing to prove, nothing to compensate for, or just needs a dependable ride. I went from owning a newer GM car. The old car was in the shop on a regular basis. It use to cost me an arm and a leg to keep the GM beast on the road. I became so use to having a large budget for car work, that when I switched to Japanese products, I was so pleased I decided to put that money into car improvements and upgrades. But even then I was barely digging into the budget. For anyone who can turn a wrench, you will find this car to be very easy to work on. Just a basic tool kit will do.

Pros: Old school trim, very reliable, cheap to maintain, fun to drive.

    Cons: Very weak engine.

Baby Blue Sedan — Performance- acceration is slow, but it's only a 1.8 liter( i think) braking is great, it handles great too! Build Quality- built well- it made it through my high school days and is still kicking! Appearance- periwinkle blue and dark blue interior. it's missing the bumper, driver side door handle and has dents on the passenger side front fender. ha ha! this car has been through a lot! Cost of Ownership- general maintenace, had the clutch replaced, gas mileage is about 34-35 mpg Fun Factor- love this car! i'll miss it when i get something else.

    Pros: great gas mileage, comfortable

Cons: other than the way it looks now, there is nothing i could say that would be negative about this car.

1995 Toyota Corolla — This car is the most reliable car Ive ever been around in my life. With 220,000 miles and still going very strong, I would suggest a corolla to anyone looking for a solid, economically friendly car. Not a hotrod by any means, but definatly on the top of my fav car list..

    Pros: reliability

    Cons: ........its ugly

Not A Head Turner Or Wheel Burner, But Highly Competent As A Daily Driver — * Performance – Average in its class. With some "tuning" and careful shifting of the 4spd auto, you can do some impressive light to light runs, but speed demon it is not. The braking is decent, though it could be better. Handling is as slushy as one would expect in its class. Still, it is competent in all it does without much fuss. * Build Quality – My car had already seen a wreck when I got it. Most people would have passed this car up due to the volume of body damage. Yet, I bought the car anyways as a "grocery getter" until something better came along. That was 4+ years ago and I will certainly buy another Corolla. This thing has endured brutal abuse prior to my ownership and some pretty harsh treatment since. It never gives me any problems. Turn the key, put it in gear, and it goes. Every time. * Appearance – The body style is very bland. There's not a single line on the car that stirs excitement. Yet, in all its subtlety, it's not particularly "ugly" either. It's simply an understated compact car that nails the job it was built to do. * Cost of Ownership – The cost of owning this car has been significantly less than any other vehicle I've own. Even with all the damage this car has sustained, all I've had to do to it, other than regular maintenance, is put an alternator on it. Given that I run a High Power audio system, even this repair is to be expected. * Fun Factor – Even though this car is not a performer, per say, it doesn't turn heads in a positive way and simply put, it's a 4dr econobox, it still is a blast to drive around town. You would be wise not to challenge the kid with the boosted Civic next to you, but you'll have no trouble zipping in and out of rush hour traffic and taking slow curves a little faster than the guy in the Cavalier next to you. All in all, I love this car! It's reasonably comfortable, it can take a hell of a beating, the drive train performs reasonably well given its spec, and running this car is cheaper than the Mc Donalds value menu. If you're looking for a very reliable vehicle that will give you reasonably good looks, reasonably good performance at a reasonable price, the Toyota Corolla is a solid purchase.

Pros: Outstanding build quality and reliability

Cons: Acceleration that *might* thrill your Grandma
