2wd And Lightness Made It Tricky In Winter. — First NEW car/truck. Bought it for 10K and sold it for 6.5K 6 years later.

    Pros: Fun and solid.

    Cons: Bad in winter.

Not A Big Fan — It lacked overall power and had a horrible body to it... however, I must admit that for a begginer vehicle it wasn't the absolute worst in the world, I never wrrecked it... maybe because it had a hard time getting up to 60 without falling apart

    Pros: Good Starter Vehicle

Cons: No Power, Looks Like Crap, Sounds Like Crap, Engine Is Pathetic... Thats About It

Economical And Fun. — Cheap on gas, it's a truck so you can haul a load, fun to drive and has plenty of potential...going to turbo, slam, cam, time and drive :) I have BIG plans for this little demon; no one around really has a mini-truck, so I guess this is where I step in.

Pros: Good on gas (2.3L I4 w 5spd), decent looking and cargo room.

Cons: Not the fastest vehicle on the road, but still has enough power to kick out :)

I Am Surprised People Actually Buy These Things. — I was generally surprised at how horrible the Ranger I used to drive at work was. Seeing as Mazda had a great deal in its conception, i guess i expected much more. The V6 engine was a joke, for the first few days I drove the truck I believed it to be a 4 cylinder, the grunt expected from a "larger" engine just wasn't there.it had the torque of a 4 cylinder and the unbalanced top end of a normal V6, thats not a good thing... The interior was the worst part of all, 9 hours in this truck and i felt like my back was splitting in two, the bench seat wears out quickly, putting the driver in a hole that misaligns your spine. the dash is huge and takes up any legroom a tall person might want to have, leaving you feeling very cramped.

Pros: A/C blows cold, stero works good. Truck is solidly built

Cons: Too wide Bed rails, weak engine, cramped interior

Love My Splash — Lowered 3 inches from splash in the front, 4 in the rear, Toxic Shocks, $.0 V6 5 Speed. Most fun you can have with 176k miles!

Pros: Really alot of fun to drive for a truck

    Cons: Sucks in snow

Very Dependable — It is a 20 year truck that just keeps on going. It takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I don't know why Ford Motor Company chose to discontinue this vehicle. I think it was a major mistake. Would buy another one.

    Pros: Durability and Reliability

    Cons: Plain Jane Truck

Love It. — I bought this truck brand new. It has NEVER given me a problem and have never had anything major go wrong with it. The AC stopped working on it after I let it sit for about 2 years when I was away. But it started right up after charging it up. It's a great little truck for the money. A little tight to get in and out of the extended cab with the two door model. The 96 has the auxilary door which may have provided a little better access.

    Pros: Economy on gas

Cons: Sluggish in the 4 cylinder model getting going.,.fine after that
