Se V-6 Really Corners Great...handles Better Than Many Sports Cars — Initially they were way over priced....but have become quite a used car bargain! German design adds some quirkiness to the interior but the front seats are very supportive and comfortable. The V-6 makes it a fun car to drive but hard to work on since its packed so tight under the hood. The early SE and later SVT models are the ones to get.

Pros: Handles Great!!  Small V-6 has decent performance and fuel economy.

Cons: Gets no respect.  People who have never owned or driven one don't realize its a German car built in the US and drives more like a BMW 3-series than a Ford Escort or other American cars.

Def Got More Umph Than One Would Think. — Great Car for the original MSRP. Def surpassed expectations from its small 2.5L 24Valve V6 Engine. Tons of attention to detail in to the interior of the car. Unfortunatly it was still inteded as your standard family commuter and lacked durability after 100k miles of pulling the car's peak performance.

Pros: European build, Great tuned performance.

Cons: No longer in production.

V6 '95 Ford Contour — Sure, they criticize Ford for making cars that break easy, but mine ran strong well into 2007, and is likely running well for whomever owns it now. There's nothing 'spectacular' that stands out about this car. Sure, it ain't the prettiest thing on the road, and it doesn't pack a lot of muscle. But these cars are pretty decent, and they sure last if you take good care of them. This is hands down the best cost: performance car I have ever owned (I purchased mine for ~1300$ in 2005)

Pros: Absolut Reliability

Cons: AC can be temperamental, No CD-player, nothing 'serious'

I traded in my 97 Hyundai Accent for the 95 Ford Contour because I was having trouble fixing the ongoing issues with the accent. Put 5,000$ into it and decided I was done trying. The Contour is running much better comparatively.
