Its Transportation — its okay it needs some tender loving care i got from my brother and the price was right after a few brake problems i finally got the things fixed so that they are not wearing out every 2 to 6 months after replacing more parts (that really needed it) than i intended to replace.

Pros: milage

Cons: rust

1995 Dodge Neon — Performance - Ok Handling, Awesome Of The Line And 0-60 mph Decent Braking Build Quality - Good Workmanship, But has MANY "Silent safety recalls " dodge does not want you to know about Appearance- Sweet Looking in and out Cost Of Ownership - Gas milage sucks is almost like driving around a 1992 Dodge Dakota With 5.2 L(318) Magnum V-8 maintenance is a lil expensive Fun Factor - If The Motor doesn't have oil in the water or vise versa throw on so hi-performance parts on it and u have a very fast car just tune up the brakes and suspention first

Pros: Great Pick up, Smooth Steering, No Road Noise In The Cabin, Good Ride

Cons: Spongy Brakes, Poor Fuel Mileage, Soft Suspention

Car Can Get U A-b-c-d-e... And $ave G@s —

::::: IM A DO !T YOUR $ELF PER$ON ::::: I don't care what people say about 95' neon, if everything is up to par as far as maintence like; new fuel filter, K&N air filter, K&N oil filter, Royal purple oil etc. And around 30-34psi in tires, I can average 35+mpg in a 11gal tank costing around $35-42 to fill up on E. I can drive from LA to Vegas on 1 fill up. GREAT ACCELRATION ABOVE 3RPM with performance airfilters and/or other engine modifications. Dislikes: Stock radio and antenna, UGLY Fuel filter which has very tight space to replace, trying to replace speakers is not easy. Have to take off ignition coil to get to air filer element. Some trouble code(s) OR a code that may come up on CHECK ENGINE, might not be just that 1 problem. Many problems can arise off of 1 trouble code. Some dont even mean that that is the actual problem. Like code 43 in some cases doesn't accuauly mean multiple cylinder misfire it could just be a blown head gastket or emission related, vacuum, map sensor, battery, PCM, leading it to be affected. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT CRASH! BODY REPAIRS ARE RIDICULUSLY OVER PRICED PRETTY MUCH IF YOU CRASH IT TRASH IT! OR IF YOUR INSURANCE COVERS IT BELIVE ME WHEN I SAY "RAIDIATOR SUPPORT" HAS NO SUPPORT! THE CRAP CAN'T PASS A 3MPH CRASH TEST!!!

Pros: Great acceleration above 3 rpm and mpg

Cons: *DO NOT CRASH*

Don't Buy One — All there is is problems with it. It breaks down all the time, the only good thing is mileage. even the paint sucks, it is peeling big time. everything on the inside is falling apart. Im sure the car would be fun to drive if it didn't have something wrong with it all the time

Pros: gas mileage

Cons: paint, mechanical, squeaks, costs way too much

First Car — This was my very first car I ever owned. It was a cross between blue and purple. It was cheap because I bought it from an individual who was looking to get rid of it fast in 1998. The gaskets were very cheap and broke after only a year. Also, the paint was poorly applied and began to chip on the truck leaving spots of primer.

Pros: Gas saver, good sound

Cons: Poor craftsmanship

The Neon That Could — Bought the car with just under 160k miles, for $800 cash, and it honestly is the most durable vehicle anyone I know has ever owned. Hardly nothing on it needed to be fixed, maybe $500 worth in 3 years. Not a beautiful car, we all know that, but it was spacious and worked well. This was my first car, so of course it was very fun at first, but surprisingly it stayed fun the whole time I had it. Everything felt nice, steering wheel was sturdy, pedals were good, shifted fine, and held up well when I beat on it, and believe me, we did beat on it. Overall a great little car, I loved it.

Pros: Very durable, comfortable, and cheap to keep running

Cons: Fairly ugly car

Kermit Lives! — I bought Kermie new in July of 1995 from Score Dodge/Chyrsler/Plymouth in Middletown, OH while living in Chicago. I knew I wanted a Neon before I even considered anything else. I didn't know what the SCCA was until the ACR advertising campaign started in 1995. The 1995-model-year-only color was called Nitro Yellow Green and was made to commemorate the Championship Dodge won in 1994. There was also a special interior that looked like confetti called ANC (American National Champion). I didn't join the SCCA until 1998, but after I did, I went in with both feet and went to member meetings and competed regularly in Chicago Region SCCA Autocross events. I even went to the National Championship on a set of donated tires (Thanks Jim Baustian) - BFGoodrich R1. Kermie was the FIRST Neon of the month on Neons.org which is still alive today. I sold him in 2001 to Erik VanDyke from WA. He still has him and we talk once in while to see how the car is doing.

Pros: Steering, Stock 150hp out of a 2.0L, 5spd transmission, interior, Engine layout, brakes, reliability, 60/40 split pass-through rear seat, fun factor, head turner

Cons: Understeer, No cruise control, I didn't know the ACR was available and would have purchased one instead.

Best Compact Ever — With acceleration levels above those of the 70's power-plants and handling to beat out cars like Mustangs all for less than 20 Grand ricers love 'em and racers love 'em built in the USA

Pros: Excellent performance for very little money

Cons: Cars can be Fast, Relaible, and Cheap  but you only ever get 2 out of the three

My First Car.....nuff Said — BLAH.... That is about all I can say about it. It was cheap and I was desperate for a car....In hindsight I should have shopped around longer.

Pros: None

Cons: All of them

Cheap, Effective — probably the best $500 investment I've ever made. gets through the snow, great on gas, parts are cheap, had very few major problems

Pros: It will smash a civic's dreams...

Cons: 95's had a major head gasket issue, that had to be addressed
