Bmw E34 525i — The Bmw E34 is a great car it handles well, is much more driver orientated than its rival's (Mercedes-benz) It eats the mileage up very well i.e you can drive this car for 500 or 600 miles and you dont feel tired or achy when you get out!! Performance is good, the 2.5 is the best all rounder for MPG (about 30-34 on motorway) and performance. The build quality is second to noe even by todays standards. Everything right down to the switch gear inside the car feels solid. Appearance wise the 5 series e34 retains BMW's aggressive looks but at the same time it also appears to be a big business class car.

Pros: Built well, handles and rides well, pretty good fuel economy for the engine size.

Cons: Complex wiring, laquer peels on later models!,

Miss Her — Overall a great little car. Not quite as much pickup when you slam the accelerator as one would expect, but still pretty good. Technology-wise this was a great vehicle, especially considering it was a '95. Obviously, not the most modern looking car, but far from ugly. Definitely a solid body, held up very well.

Pros: Great gas mileage, decent pickup speed, classy appearance

Cons: Not as a great a pickup speed as I'd personally like

Comfort, Performance, Typical Bmw Issues. Worth Every Penny — The 5 series line is BMW's midsize segment, compared to the likes of the Mercedes E Class, Audi A6, along with the Taurus and Malibu's of the world. However, this car gives you the confidence of driving a much smaller sport car, with tuned suspension, 289hp, 300ft-lbs of torque and 6 speeds that put every ounce of power to the two rear wheels. A sleeper luxury cruiser that will keep you on your toes through the curvies, or let you relax in comfort on those long trips cross country.

Pros: 4.0L V8.  What else?  Sport seats, 6 speed manual, quiet cabin, comfortable seats, reliable with appropriate maintenance.  BMW quality.

Cons: Repairs are $$$$$$$

530i Automatic Converted To 4.4 V8 6 Speed —

My E34 Started life as a average 530i auto touring ,but it has since been converted to use the BMW 4.4 V8 and a six speed manual gearbox. Performance is enough to make you giggle to yourself and ask ...is this the meaning of life??? It has had a few other modifications but these are to techy to go in to details here. The car does like to chew up and spit out various early porshes, various boy racers and there RS Turbos(sorry i only like series 1`s)vtr`s etc... In fact i must say sorry to the young chap on the A14 in a electric blue saxo..i think it was a VTS. The body kit on this car must have weighed at lease 50 kg+the stupid over sized exhaust 15-20 kg..any way i must continue the story. You came out of the milton slip road at around 80 mph and cut me up...tut..tut..a few years ago i would have blown a fuse! You then accelerated up to the mighty heights of 120 ...sorry son i was changing between 4&5 it is a but awkward with a 6 speed. At around exning your car started to smoke...very blue in colour if i remember correctly quickly follow by you car throwing bits of engine across the carridge way which was then followed by a vast cloud of white smoke & steam.i did not see what happend after that as by the time you had pulled over i prob would have been 4-5 miles up the road. In future if you spend money on a car....protect your investment, only do what your car can do,do not think that that your car is the best there is always someone bigger and faster than you...always! ...and yes even i know when to pull over TVR`s,New porkers,AMG`s etc.

Pros: I`ll tell you at santa pod

Cons: as above

Great Car! — I was never a BMW fan, but got talked into test driving a 540i by a friend. I bought this beautiful one owner example very shortly afterwards. Absolutely loved it. They have one of the best sounding V8's, once the exhaust is opened up........... and go great!

Pros: Depreciation, cost of some parts.

Cons: Performance, driveability, comfort, engineering

Underpowered Exec-mobile — suprisingly weedy engine. stearing felt lumbering, again making the car feel big and heavy. but not in a reassuring manner. made for a curious kinda-point-and-not-go combination. thank god it was only a company car.

Pros: one day it'll probably be crushed

Cons: it probably hasn't been crushed yet.

Ok But Not That Great. — Never really liked this one. Good cruising car and great at long distance motorway work; get in, select destination, wait, get out. But other than that it never did it for me. Handling wasn't particularly great either. Have to admit the great 'BMW thing' is still a mystery to me.

Pros: Comfortable

Cons: Boring
