A Classic Pre-bangle Model But Would Have Loved A New Turbo Six Dropped In. — This was my first experience with BMW. It was dark silver with light gray leather and automatic transmission. This one had traction control but was useless without snows on all wheels. This car is not a lightweight and a minivan would win a stoplight race, but once underway would run 80+ all day, which it often did. Several trips down south provided a pleasure with comfort for four adults, and on the 2-lane highways in eastern KY was a dream. This was a leased vehicle and I was going to purchase but changed job locations. Very low cost to drive overall. Like all BMWs this one was tight like a vault.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Wish I still was driving this one.

Cons: Around town the car felt sluggish as the 2.5L is too small for the vehicle weight.

E34 Bmws Are One Of The Best Mid Size Sedans Ever — Excellent all around. For a larger four door it does handle very well. The interior is very durable and excellent quality comfortable leather. The 5 speed make it and excellent performer especially on the freeway when you drop it from fifth to third to get around lane blockers.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Excellence

Cons: replace water pump and thermostat housing if the have plastic parts

'95 Bmw 525i Manual 155k — Trim is loaded loaded, leather seats, heated front seats, rear climate control, traction control, yet manual transmission for an enguaging ride. I pretty much leave the traction control off at all times, sometimes leave it on when it is raining. Replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders and havent had issues since. Heater doesn't blow quite as hot as I would like, probably just need a new cabin air filter. Starts and runs slightly rough in the winter but slowly moves back to perfection as it reaches operating temperature. Wish it had a little more pick-up, but it is easy to tell this car is built for the highway, which is what I bought it for: to get out of town! Great car for the road, good amenities, decent fuel effeciency (~23-26mpg mixed) and plenty of room for baggage/equipment and friends!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: found a manual, plenty of room, good reliability, passing power, handling, great ride quality

Cons: desire better fuel economy, pricey OEM parts but doing labor yourself equalizes that

One Of The Most Realiable Bmw Models — might buy something newer later on, but this one will probably stay and get upgraded with a bigger engine, with the original M5 kit+wheels, looks so darn good for it's age, still turns more heads on the road compared to newer models. brilliant reliability, and build quality.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Love the feel of it, brillent for the money!

Cons: wish it has a newer looking dash!

    Pros: the power

    Cons: the price

For A 15 Year Old Car, It Still Turns Heads And Still Delivers My Adrenaline Fix. — Classic lines, sporty characteristics and amenities fit for kings, this BMW delivered the marque to an entire new level or refinement and performance with it's introduction in 1989. By 1995 they improved on everything. Power now came from an updated 2.5 I6, more factory options were available and some cosmetic updates kept this '5' looking as smooth as it drove.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Refinement, fun-factor, reliability.

    Cons: Repairs can be costly.

Nice — Great car, affordable and a great handling saloon. Sold it purely because it was an automatic and I was going to break. Had great times in the car, kept up with an M3 in the twisties with good suspension and tyres.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Fun and comfort

    Cons: Automatic

Its Great, It Covers All The Bases — i think that the 1995 bmw 5 series is one of the most handsome four door saloons ever made, performance is great, it goes from 0-100 kph in 9 secs, breaks are great, stearing weel is a bit large, sounds good. verry practical a bit large though.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: build quality, great engine, handles like a dream

Cons: it is a big car, other than that i realy have nothing to say
