Beast — considering mine sat out 5 hurricanes with the windows rolled down, it was in overall okay shape. i had a love/hate relationship with it. though, it's probably an excellent vehicle when it isn't on the verge of breaking down from wear&tear, mine was always on the poor side. Pros: it handles anything. Cons: shakes really bad when you get above 50mph. |

Love It!!! — This is my first car and it is AWESOME! It has 250,000+ miles on it and is is still running strong. Just a few minor upkeep repairs and the only major replacement was a new transmission but at over 250,000 miles, it was bound to need replaced sooner or later. It's tons of fun to take off road and the 4wheel drive is excellent, especially on our Ohio winter roads! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves to drive (on or off the road!) It has a ton of power for the size of the motor (4.0L) while keeping good gas mileage for its size, age and weight. (~18-23 mpg) It’s a keeper! Pros: Great for off roading or winter roads; durable, rugged and tons of fun! Cons: Being a SUV, it uses more gas than a car, but does well for one too. |

Great Winter Vehicle! — Vehicle was my fathers and was handed down to me as a daily driver/winter vehicle (mini truck in storage) from him when he got a new jeep. Broke my heart to get rid of it but had to due to the new F-350 comming. Pros: Still looked and drove like it was pretty new. Cons: $3000 plus to fix the drive train in order to pass safety to sell it. |

Hey....this Is A Jeep — The most confortable truck I've never seen. It was 315K km, and the transmition was just begin to slip, the engine was in good shape and the body was A1. Pros: Confortable, exellent for camping. Cons: transmition ( with the 4 L engine), plastic bumper :( .... not build on a frame.... |

Great Bang For The Buck. — My second attempt at a grand cherokee. This time I wanted to to it right with a V8. Although the V8 sound is inspiring, the performance is not. Coming from GM V8s (in my firebird), I think I expected too much from the Dodge engine. My previous I6 Jeep (see other review) was much more reliable and could accelerate just as good as the V8 and get 3-5 MPG more per tank. I am not impressed with Dodge's V8s. Although where I did notice the V8 power was going up hill and crusing at 70+ MPH, both my previous I6 tended to run out of breath. The build quality on this Jeep is just the same as my '93 except this time I have black paint so it is not flaking!! The only problems I have had with this car (now at 165k miles) is the dumb dodge engine. I've been fighting a coolant leak that I would never of had to deal with if I had the tried and true AMC designed I6 . Other than that for a 12 year old car, the leather has no tears and the interior is in awesome shape. For the $3500 I paid for it, it is a steal! As for off-road performance, All I have is a 2" spacer lift and 31" tires. I still suffer from the lack of skid plates and no-center diff (the latter not corrected until '95). If you have a good spotter, like I did in Moab, and a few spare tires to throw into the golden crack, this Jeep did survive Golden Spike, a 4+ (difficult) rated trail. I tend to keep this Jeep as long as I can and then replace it with a new JK wrangler! Pros: Great compromise of daily driver and off-road warrior. Cons: MPG, lackluster dodge V8, dodge build quality. |

It Does What I Need — I bought this as a winter car for $2000 (in 2008). It's 4WD is great, I can get around in any conditions while my other car can barely stay on the road in bad conditions. The interior is still in great condition, the previous owner installed a new CD player and it's wired up for a sub woofer. I took it to Jensen (after buying it) to have them check it out. They said if I fixed everything that's wrong it'd be $3500, which didn't include the transmission work that probably needs to be done (it rolls away in park, you have to put the e-brake all the way up or it will crawl away while you're gone). Pros: Very fun to go off roading with! Turns on a dime. Cons: Very poor gas mileage |

One Of The Best Vehicles I Ever Owned — my 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 was rare in the fact that it had a manual transmission, the build was everything I could have expected out of a 9 year old vehicle and it did its job damn good. Pros: Performance, Looks, Fun to drive, 4x4 Cons: fuel economy |

A Luxury Suv That Can Go 4 Wheeling With The Best Of Them. — I loved taking this Jeep off roading and never had a problem with the drive train ever, even with over 155,000 miles on it. Pros: Tough 4 wheel driveably , great design, Cons: Air conditioning sometimes not work great and flood the front passenger seat floor. |
