More Fun Than Shooting Monkeys In A Barrel. — Exotic performance and exotic maintenance at a working mans price. Interiour is cheap and shows age. Body design is timeless. Turbo rotary is lacking power below 2k rpm but pulls like a jet from 3k to 8k. Not for people who don't know how to drive or people not willing to maintain a car.

Pros: Performance. The shear joy of driving.

    Cons: Maintanence

Rx-7 Overview — Likes: Acceleration, brakes, handling. Still looks amazing 15 years later. Dislikes: Rotary engine can be costly 22k spent on a motor that went out in 8.5k miles, gas mileage was 9mpg if I wasn't on boost running of 93 octane. But it's getting an LS2 so no worries. Interior durability needs improvement. Would not recommend it to someone with little to average car knowledge, you really need to know this car before you get in over your head.

    Pros: Looks and performance

Cons: Maintenance, interior durability, high cost replacement parts

Mazda Fd Rx7 R1 — It is scary fast and weighs practically nothing, which definitely has the potential to lead into some hairy situations. The interior is nice and snug and everything is just where it should be! The only bad thing about the car that I've come across at this point would be how expensive the parts are.

Pros: Fast, fun, and looks to boot!

    Cons: Expensive parts

Rx-7 Magic — There isnt a car in its class that you look cooler rollin around in. The best handlin car, the coolest lookin, and the fastest in the quarter mile. The fun factor in my car is off the hook, if you know how to drive a stick and you wanna thrill this is your car.

    Pros: Look and Performance

    Cons: Bumpy Ride

Best Rotary Engine Built So Far — This is the best of mazdas rotary line. If you want an all around driving car then buy the non turbo 1.3 engine. the twin turbos on them are the only con i know of. they are always messing up and are never spooling correctly with each other even if you want to go fast or mod the crap out of your car. go for the non turbo. its alot easier to build from the ground up and thro a single on there than to knock it all down first. the car weighs 2800 lbs. thats amazing!!!! i am buying a 560hp single turbo rx7. if the new z06 vettes have 505hp and weigh 3500 but hit 60 in 3.6. well do the math :) if you are looking to buy a car thats going to last forever with you treating it like a race car......dont go for it. on the turboed rotarys if your a/f mix is even the slightest unbalanced you can risk blowing a apex seal out your exhaust. thats not a pretty day. this car is something that has to always be tuned. so if your not dedicated to her...dont buy it.

Pros: Fast. light weight. curves ;)

Cons: always needs tuned, but easy to do

Excellent Tracking Machine... — Excellent tracking machine but horrible on gas. Once modified, they are a giant guessing game or ticking time bomb if you prefer. The rotary is an amazing creation however not for the use of daily driving. The "Cost of ownership really depends on how far you go as far as modification goes. Stock form they are not a headache but once modded heavily forget about reliability.

    Pros: Amazing ride feel.

    Cons: Horrible gas milage

What Do U Think About My Rx-7 — I love the overall performance of the car, it's look, speed, drift handling , braking etc... It is so much faster then my built civic type r. It ran a 13.8 quarter mile bone stock on my 2nd run. NOT BAD. Not that I hate Civic's , i had one and loved it, but it's a much better investment and way faster stock and so much easyer to make extra power with than a civic.

    Pros: It's right hand drive

    Cons: nothing

Excellent, Rare, Fast And Sexy — weak cooling system... Turns on a dime. no lag on the turbo's Price is ok for the rarity of the car. This car is fun to drive.....very fast.. This car is very sexy. It's only a 2 door and 2 seater. This car has alot of potential..and owns most other cars.

Pros: Fast, No lag on twin turbo's

Cons: Weak cooling system. requires alot of maintenance.

The Se7en — Mazda was extremely ahead of their time with this car. The Rx7 has a 255 hp sequential-twin-turbo 1.3 liter 2-rotor rotary engine. Though the car is 15 years old the styling is better than that of most new cars. Because of its near perfect 50-50 weight distribution is it one of the best handling cars ever made. The rx-7 is the 'truest' sports car to ever come out of Japan. That being said it is a sportscar, not a budget sports car. You will be lucky to find a running rx7 for under 15 grand. And the purchase price is just the beginning. These cars are known for being unreliable. an engine lasts anywere between 20 and 60,000 miles, rebuilding is costly, close to $2000 for parts alone. Although the sequential twin turbo system is genious, it requires a maze of solenoids and vacuum hoses to control it and is prone to failing. If you love the car enough, and have the money to take car of it, it is a great car.

Pros: Gorgeous car, fantastic handling, fast(high 13's)

Cons: Unreliable, flip up headlights look a bit dated, poor fuel mileage
