Good First Impression And Would Still Be In Love If It Had The Same Kick — I bought a 93 del sol with a rebuilt 94 vtech engine. I have had if for about 3 months. its fast(was). and goes great around the curves. drop top is fun and eye cathing. I say it was fast because the vtech seems to be malfunctioning and I have no idea y. it still drives but the excitement of feeling the after burner effect is gone:( making it just an average daily commuter.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great on gas, very low maintenence(its a honda)

Cons: vtech stopped working, leaks and squeeks

Honda Civic Crx Del Sol 1.6 Vtec Vti El.targa — 1.6 VTI VTEC B16A EG DOHC Overall - GREAT car. If you dont own one - buy one ! In summer months, it's like a whole new dimension of driving. If you like speed... you will love VTEC - at 5500rpm the fun begins.. 6000..7000.. still going.. 8200! Shift ! 160

Pros: Targa, vtec, appearance, braking, handling, the attention

Cons: Not much room for bagage, not even a spare tire fits in trunk. Not recommended in the winter months.

Honda Crx Del Sol — cars handling is amazin its been dropped 30mm on 18inch alloys.it has a yeas m.o.t dives like band new.the exteio part of the car needs a paint job but once thats done the car will look brand new again.its a 1.5vtec so its cheap to insure.this car is loads of fun drive specially in the summer wen u can take the roof down.

Pros: mechanically the car is perfectily maintained and the body of the car is solid

Cons: couple of rough patches on the body but can be touch up no problem

The Bestest Car Ever! — Best cars I could ever ask for. They are a rare little car with only 75,000 sent to the US. There reliable, quick, they look good, and the next closest thing to having a hard top convertible like this would be a $100,000 mercedes. The car was$24,000brand newback in the day

Pros: its a hard top on the bad weather days, and its a convertible on the nice days. i bought it at 146,000miles and im at 169,000 and it still runs just a strong as ever. its so reliable, never taken to mechanic for engine probs.

Cons: if it rains to much, one of my seals is bad and it drips a lil

My 93 Del Sol Review — I don't like how the del sol has a horrible blind spot over the drivers left shoulder, making lane changes a sometimes unwelcome surprise. I don't like how how the top leaks occasionally when it rains hard. I DO like how low it sits, and how it handles. After I get the turbo on the stock motor, the "fun to drive" factor will be good as well.

Pros: Appearence, handling, fun to drive

Cons: blind spots, water leaks

How My Del Sol Is — i love the fact that my car was built by me and not the car manufacturer themselves. i've modified it to the point that it seems to be a completely different car. the car is awesome to drive (when it's running right) and after the turbo install, runs like a champ. it still needs some tweaks and tunes, but that's the way it goes with a project car that you love...the build never ends

Pros: it's a convertible, a four-cylinder, and most importantly it's a honda!

Cons: it's got some rust, no torque, some oil leaks, it's a honda

A Car That With A Lot Of Good Things. — It easy to park. And have a really hot outlook. Save money in gas. Pick up is fast, for start up can't complain at all. Easy to handle, easy to find parts if there's something wrong. Even though it was old, but still had its power. One thing needs to consider of is, if you have friends, that's only can pick one of them up.

Pros: Easy to handle, save money in gas, easy to find a parking spot.

Cons: It's a 2 seaters, whoever got a lot of friends, which won't work

To The Power Of Vtec... — VTEC. Those four letters have stood for something very important to everyone from young tuner-heads with too much testosterone and a thirst for adrenaline to the junkies who create these machines at Honda. It means 7,200rpms of rev-happy, clutch smoking fun. The D16Z6 in my particular del Sol was a custom built engine and came out of a civic in Japan with just over 8,000 miles on it. It was thrown into this chassis with a rebuilt transmission and a stage 2 clutch to put the fury to the pavement. Along with Neuspeed lowering springs, KYB shocks, Skunk2 Camber Adjustable control arms, a Corksport rear tie bar and a little bit of custom interior work, it is now a pocket rocket capable of handling some of San Diego's gnarliest roads. However, this car does without quite a few of the usual amenities, including air conditioning, more than one air bag, anti-lock brakes, or a stereo. So your ride will be hot, rough, and not very safe if you are a butter fingered driver. Wrestling the steering wheel towards the general direction you'd like to go typically will get the driver around the corner whilst leaving a large trail of smoke from the howling front tires behind. Not very suited to long freeway journeys, as the ride, seating position, and lack of luxuries make it tough for anyone but the most hardcore petrolhead to stand it. However, my pocket rocket puts a smile on my face like no car I have ever owned could, and for now, that's enough.

Pros: VTEC power and excitement, positive clutch engagement, makes mincemeat out of the corners, great for when the weather is nice

Cons: Squeaks, Rattles, Clangs, No A/C, No Radio, No ABS, One Air Bag, Everyone's headlights are right in your rearview...etc

Del Sol — doesn't accelerate very fast but brakes and handles really well. hasnt had any problems and not much repairs. very clean looking interior thats plain but simple and exterior is unique and nice. gas is great and little maintenance is needed. it is always very fun to drive especially making turns.

Pros: handling, looks, gas efficient

Cons: 2 seats gets annoying at times
