I Love This Truck! — when i bought this truck three years ago i got a binder with every shop and part receipt in it.... all oil changes tranny flushes, everything. it was and still is in great shape. 350 with the TBI set up makes it ballsy and reliable. all ive done for any kind of upgrade is a cold air, throttle body spacer, 3 inch exhaust and a flowmaster super 44, lifted 3 inchs, put on 285 tires on 16 inch eagle alloy wheels. Love this truck.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: good reliable truck

Cons: gas milage or lack there of

I Am Always Happy When I Get In This Truck And Start It, And It Has Never Failed Me Yet! — Because this is a heavy full size pickup, it has bad braking, leans excessively in the corners, and accelerates sluggish. But, thtat will all be fixed next year. Build Quality is second to none, operating cost is high, as with any GM full size from 88-98, but as long as you can live with the quirks of an older pickup, this is the best option for the money, don't even think about touching Dodge(wiring goes bad, rusts out, bad transmissions) or Ford (wiring fires, rots out in no time, breaks down) when looking for a older pickup!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Because it is a bulletproof GM truck from the best truck plant, Oshawa!

Cons: Avoid it if you are a tree hugging, fuel sipping, hippy who likes to leave a small "foot print" on the environment, cause let's face it, this thing leaves more than a footprint, it leaves a crater!

Good Reliable Truck — Just a fun truck to drive, it is big, it has a chevy 350, and it is real loud. It is a very strong reliable truck, and I like it except for the fact that it only gets 10 miles per gallon.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Big Truck and fun to drive

Cons: Mine gets around 10 MPG

Gmc Sierra 4.3 — Love my truck. It's usefullness and reliabilty. Looks agressive and real easy to work on/service. Room in the back with the 8ft bed for anything I need to haul. Have driven throughout the US with her and knock on wood never let me down.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Reliable

Cons: Power uphill with loads

great quality truck, the handling is superb, but the power and torque suffer due to exhaust restrictions, but with a little modifying itll do as good as a corvette.

"the suspension in the gmc is softer than in the dodge, which provides a softer ride, whereas the dodge had a very rough and bumpy ride."
