Fiat Uno Fire 1.1 — The UNO is a great car for students - it doesn't drive tears into your eyes when you pay the bill at the petrol station, it is small enough to park virtually anywhere and it is cheap to maintain. Having only a 1.1L engine with carburator, performance is not one of its strong points, but it gets you from point A to B just like any other car - going 120km/hour on the high-way is also not a problem. The seating and body positioning in the car is very different to the newer car models - you sit straight up and your face is almost right up against the window - I love that. Fuel consumption is acceptable and there are few parts that can break if the car is driven responsibly. Having no power steering or other nowadays common electric gadgets, it is really fun since you actually have to drive it (not like the modern cars who practically drive themselves). There is no motor sound insulation so you can hear the revs very clearly - that gives it so much character!

Pros: A super fun and economical student car that has a distinct personality

Cons: I hate people who make fun of the UNO

Fiat Uno 45s 1993 — this is the 45s model so it's not a very fast car.. but this model come with a much better interior then the better versions. The build quality is very good, much better then my brother Subaru Justy, and the appearance is the best within this class of cars.. Cost of Ownership – the best, better then new cars.

Pros: good looking, very cheap, simple and relible, confortable

Cons: 45hp... No place for 6.5" speakers in the front doors

Silly Little European Thing — Alright it was fun to drive, I admit it, and it's quite reliable. I'd never consider owning such a tiny thing though.

Pros: It's fun, it does about 40mpg.

Cons: It's way to small to be worth my while, and it's UGLY.

Cheap Entry Level Car With 1.0 Liter Engine And Air Conditioning — Cars with 1.0 liter engines receive tax breaks from the Brazilian government. Fiat was the maker with a head start. I bought the car since it was affordable.

Pros: Price, cost benefit relation

Cons: Weak engine
