Pretty, Yet Pointless — This car looks amazing, the lines are all very smooth and perfect...every elegant. Problem is you got 130hp and loose brakes. You have no handling. You have no power, and the little you have you have no control over. This is why the 4th gen exists.

Pros: Amazing styling on the outside, easy to fix, easy to upgrade, easy to do just about anything to this car.  V6 is sucky but its fairly simple to put a nice LS1 V8 engine in there.  Many people do Corvette conversion parts on these things or put Ram Air hoods on them for extra power...all of which is as I said...easy (but expensive).

Cons: Listed above.  Perhaps the biggest flaw is its 3.1 V6. Gas mileage isn't amazing and it has a very slow acceleration.  The engine is very inefficient overall.  Brakes may need to be upgraded depending on the driver, stock wheels are tiny, and even though the seats come down and its a hatchback, you have almost no trunk space, especially with the t-tops off.

Fast, Sleek, Sexy Car That Is, For The Most Part, Pretty Reliable. — When I first bought my 1992 V6 Pontiac Firebird, it had over 100,000 miles on it. Although I did have to put an additional $3000 dollars into the vehicle after buying it, I am nevertheless still satisfied with it. It does not break down that often, and when it does, most of the time the needed part got be gotten for cheap by scraping it from an Trans Am or Camero. All in all, a good first car to have.

Owner for 4 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: Goes really fast, breaks well, ladies like it

Cons: horrible turn radius

Wonderful Car To Drive, Nice Interior And Attractive Exterior — I love my firebird, I get nothing but positive remarks and compliments on it. it has been a very dependable car and I have had very little trouble at all since I bought it. The only complaint I have for the car is that it came with the stock 305 and that was a very weak engine. A head turner everywhere I go, it has been a very dependable car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: beautiful curves, comfortable interior, accommodating for a sports car

Cons: horsepower, torque
