Exploded! — Had it for two weeks, At which point it exploded on the side of the road, spitting out every fluid that it had in it. It was rusted to hell and smelled funny, but it was only 700 bucks I guess.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: None

Cons: Everything

Love The '92 Ford Explorer Xlt. — Mean Machine for long trips. Made it in no time from Wash DC to Orlando, overnight, fully loaded. Cost effective to maintain and operate. Loved the manual transmission! Very spacious. Super cold AC. Awesome turning radius. I would buy one again!

Pros: all

Cons: none

Car — This car is utterly useless. You can feel the engine when you step on the gas pedal, but its more like a gentle breeze rather than a power surge. The suspension is good, but the overall drive quality is horrible. You shouldnt feel like your about to wind up on your lid every time you turn.

Pros: Engine

Cons: Interior, exterior, everything else

Ford — It sucks, and I would rather have any other car in the world. It's an okay car in getting from point A to point B, but that's about it. I hate that it costs so much to get gas for my car, and that it doesnt get very good gas mileage. I'd rather have something smaller and more fuel efficient.

Pros: none

Cons: it sucks

Great For Off Roading, Had Lots Of Fun With It, And It Made It Across Country, 'nough Said — It was a great car, made it across country save for when fuel pump, went out in KS, and when the new wiffe and I went cross country all our stuff amazingly fit in the SUV

Pros: this was a fun SUV.  4wd,  off roading, full working power options save for power seats.  great paint. and Manual transmissing  made it fun

Cons: near the end the engine had coolint issues,

A Functional, Solid Unit. — Mine was on the ropes when I got it, but while it lasted, I loved the thing. It was great for trips with multiple people, rode surprisingly quietly considering its tires and drivetrain. Most of these will go 200,000 miles, which mine did.

Pros: It's durable.

Cons: Weak motor, bad mileage, ugly paint schemes on most of them.

Best Suv For The Price. — Full size SUV, second year Explorer was built was '92, meant by ford to replace the Bronco. While Explorers have a rust problem, mine has little to none because of a lifetime warranty that we got through Zebart. Because of the Explorer's rust problems, they no longer offer life though, only ten years. Excellent acceleration for its size, good handling, and excellent braking. Not a bad looking vehicle either. Can take LOADS of abuse, being the only major problem is weak/poorly designed transmission and rust problems glore. Still runs like a dream after 115,000 miles. V6 should not have been offered as an engine though, but thats just my thoughts.

Pros: Size, looks, visibility, integrity, strength, impression, luggage rack, length of life, durability, multi-purpose, Never gets stuck in snow.

Cons: SUV, V6 is a bit sluggish at times, some parts can be a bit maintenance intensive, or weak.

Gas Pig — Car squeaked, rattled and rolled. Suspension was garbage but it still lasted over 300,000kms, from Alaska to California, Vancouver to Saskatchewan.

Pros: It wouldn't die

Cons: It wouldn't die

Loved this SUV. In fact, I'm getting another one (2014 or 2015)! Preferred to drive it over our second car, which is a sporty and fun-to-drive 300Z. Leather and 4WD a big plus but not "must haves". Li... Read More
