Won't Help You Pick Up Chicks, But Otherwise A Decent Vehicle. — It's old and ugly but it does it's job well. Strong engine but it handles like a motorhome. Could probably pull one though. Other than the random electrical problems and excessive rust, it's not bad. A good work truck. I wish the AC worked... I can't trace the short.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Very useful.

    Cons: Awful fuel economy.

The Dakota — Only owned it for 6 weeks when I totalled it in NEwton square but had a lot of fun in it. The sound was low and loud, the body was strong and my dad kept it in top notch condition for its age.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: had enough space for friends with a bed for other things ;-)

    Cons: I wanted a V8 with 4WD

2 Dakotas, 10 Plus Years — my first Dakota I had was a 95 sport club cab 4x4 that I bought in 96 with 40k, I sold it with great sorrow in 06 due to increasing rust (she spent all but the last year in N.H.) I left her with almost 200k of hard use, she still ran strong. about 2 weeks ago I picked up a 92 2wd club cab (rust free, Heaven) this one has the same V6 but this time backed with an AT instead, other than a few small repairs that where easy to do she is a very young 200k. I plan on having this one for quite a while. My first 'Kota developed my fondness for the gen 1 'Kota and my present one continues to solidify those feelings. Perfect size, good performance, good mpg, comfy ride and if you take care of her, she'll take care of you.

    Pros: size, reliability, mpg

Cons: fuel pump, change it every 150k

Lil Ol Dodge Puts Ford To Shame — this was an awesome truck... very tough even with over 228k original miles on it (no major engine work or transmission work), it still pulled a brand new (2007) Ford powerstroke with duallys and a tandem trailer with 11 tons of horse crap out of the mud... with no problem.. we managed to put over 298k miles on it before it finally needed its first major repair, and then it needed a new transmission... i would definately recommend it to my friends... in fact i'm getting another one myself...

    Pros: durability and dependability

Cons: transmissions can go bad on these, unless taken care of properly

An Up Comeing Truck? — it was very peppy, had to do a lot of work to make it good looking, but never broke down... very good truck. only thing that had to be replaced was the transmission it was a very good truck. i couldn't have been happier with a first vehicle than that one.

Pros: good gas, n' pretty fast

    Cons: horrible tranny

My First Vehicle... — This is the first vehicle that I called my own. It was secondhand from my stepdad and had been used to the max by his construction crew, hence the male sweat stench that I could never fuly get rid of. I would say this car was very reliable for its age considering it was already 14 years old when I began to drive it. It drove well minus the time it just stopped in the middle of an intersection nearly costing me my life. Oh, and the other 590 billion times it would just shut off. So I guess it drove well when it did drive. The truck has a lot of wear and tear from years of thorough use. The roof leaked. The gas level indicator wasn't quite right. Let's just say it wasn't the coolest car.

Pros: pretty good for 14 years +

Cons: seemed to hate my very existence...

It's A Trooper. — My truck has hit a telephone pole head-on at 40mph and lived to tell about it (after grafting a new front-end on). The engine survived the crash and is currently going on 240,000 miles. I have American Racing Baja rims on it and crappy Goodyear Wrangler Street terrain tires.

Pros: can haul anything in the bed, fairly good low-end torque, all metal

Cons: cramped interior, little passing power, it's been wrecked

Just A Good Ol Pickemup Truck — One of many vehicles my dad owned in the early nineties. It was green with a tan cloth interior and gold pinstripes, and it had A/C, cruise control, cassette player, etc. It had a 3.9L V6 and 5-speed manual transmission, and he put a custom camper shell on the back, which he ordered from Bricks in Quakertown. That place is still in business too. He traded it for a 1993 Blazer after owning it only a year, because he thought it was too big and it lacked 4-wheel drive. This beautiful truck cost only $11,000. Once again, damn you inflation! Pickup trucks are no longer reasonably priced!!!

Pros: Beautiful lines, powerful, reliable, built ram tough.

Cons: I once touched the exhaust pipe out of curiosity and burned myself.

Works Hard — The V-8 engine could handle anything that you put it up to.

    Pros: it's a truck and it's a Dodge

    Cons: could be bigger
