Lousy Vehicle In Every Respect! — I drove this vehicle on a test drive from a dealership. It had a nice rice both on and off road, but it just reeked of being cheap. All of the interior knobs and controls were flimsy plastic and the door panels sounded like they were going to fall of the vehicle. It rattled and shook as we drove down the road. I turned it around about 2 miles into the test drive and handed over the keys.

Pros: Nice ride.

Cons: Almost everything else.

This Baby Had "lemon" Written All Over It! — I bought this truck out of the Truck Trader in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a very nice looking truck, but I refused to see the signs of a "lemon" hiding within. 4 days after my purchase the transmission went bad on the way up to Payson, Arizona. After the transmission it was a pully problem. After the pully problem it was the starter. After the starter it was the ignition lock assembly. After the ignition lock assembly it was the throttle body. One thing after another until I couldn't take it any longer. I traded it in on a brand new Pontiac Grand Prix, but that's for another review.

Miles Driven per Year:15,000

Pros: Large engine - plenty of horsepower.  It was roomy and drove like a tank.

Cons: It seems like everything went bad on this truck.

1992 Chevy Silverado C1500 — My truck is a 92 it has a camaro 305/5.0 V8 high flow intake, performance exhaust, and a weight reduction. It has around 200,000miles on it and i have only put in about $300 of repair work into it. (better than a ford) It is a small V8 but the truck is small, so it fits. The stereotype about these trucks is that they are heavy as all get out, but the engine is powerful enough to make the weight not an issue. If you were to gun-it at a stoplight then you will be satisfied. When the truck is an extended cab is when weight is the problem. As far as handling goes........ It's a truck so YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! IT'S NOT A FERRARI!.....its big and bulky. The cost of gas for the silverado is around 15/16mpg. The appearance of this truck is timeless. The perfect truck of the 90's.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: reliable easy to fix long-lasting with some power and good looks

Cons: big and gassy
