1991 Vauxhaul Nova 1.2 — Performance - not much horsepower and would shake quite a lot if you tried to go faster than 85mph. Build - not very protective in a crash (not that I would try). Apperance - was white and I actually liked the shape of it. Cost - bought it in 1998 for £2.5k with not much mileage on it. Not very efficient with mpg (can't remember what I got out of it) but easy to maintain and even changed light bulbs & tyres myself. Fun factor - quite nippy and entertaining when you went roundabouts fast as the car had a tendency to roll to one side and nearly go up on two wheels! * Would recommend this car if you're not worried about safety.

Pros: No fuss, fun car

Cons: Not enough power

Iconic 80's Supermini By Craig3405

I hate the sunroof squeak, it makes the build quality seem worse than a Saxo. The heating is poor. My final drive in the gearbox is too high, making motorways a chore. I actually find it hard to pa... Read More

Handled exceptionally well, very light-weight but felt like sitting in a tin can. The fact that it was a sports edition probably helped. Build quatlity not excellent, but fine for the type of car. ... Read More

Nove 1.3 Sr, It Great Beginner. By Gareth

The Nova was the wifes first car. Although it was quite old it still ran great. A little underpowered compared to what we have owned but never the less it was a great first car. Read More
