1991 Toyota MR2 T-barReview

Mr2 — This was a great car, was reliable and eye candy. Performance was decent not too much though. TCO was relatively low because it was a Toyota. Amazingly fun to drive, did roll quite a bit in the corners with the stock suspension. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Looks good, mid engine, handles decent. Cons: roll on stock suspension |

Best Toy Ever — It is great to drive mainly due to the great handling and the sound syou get from the engine being behind you. I had converted my Mr2 to a 3l V6 so thats alot of fun and power in a small car. Personaly id never go back to a 3sge, but the turbo model 3sgte is still alot of fun and gives alot of boost with the right mods. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: best fun cheao money buys Cons: to avoid..... dont take the family with you anywhere |

No — Fast, fun car. will always beat you to 60mph. Exotic look and excellent handling will make the MR2 the best toy car you've ever driven. Once turbo lag drops out at 2,500 rpm, it's great. The motor is easily tuned to over 300 hp (100 hp over stock). Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Mid Engine Cons: understeer |

It's A Great Car And I've Enjoyed Ownership. It Definitely Turns Heads. — Performance - It's a quick little car with plenty of potential for more power. Build Quality - It's needed a few repairs here or there. The tops leak a bit but it's nothing out of the ordinary for a turbo car with t-tops. Appearance - For a car designed in the 80's and built in the 90's you can't complain about the appearance of it at all. Cost of Ownership - It's an old car with parts becoming scarcer and scarcer... What do you think? Fun Factor - Mid-Engine Turbo'd car... What's not fun about that? Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: It's mid-engined so it's handling is very unique Cons: Old turbo car which needs lots of love |

I Think Its Worth It If You Are Mechanically Enclined Or Have Money, To Maintain It. — it has great acceleration when it isnt in the shop, the braking is phenominal, and it handles like a shifter cart. i have just recently bought the car so i havent done anything serious to it, yet. interior, the drivers set is in need of reapholstering, and exterior wise is is almost flawless but it could use a paint job. gas mileage is great maintenance isnt too bad but parts cost alot. the car is too fun to drive if you ask me, becuase it is too easy to get a ticket in. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: It handles like a gocart Cons: parts are expensive |

You Cant Hate A Mid-engine Japanese Sports Car, Has A Very Divine Personality — I love my car, the MR2 Turbo, it combine the best balence and handling of a car due to the fact that the engine is mounted in the middle (Mid-Engine/Midship) and provides perfect weight distribution. The car comes factory equipped with a 220 HP, Inline-4 cylinder 2000cc engine. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: fighter-jet cockpit design, mid-engine rear wheel drive in a japanese exotic sports car. Cons: Pain to work on, you must drop the motor for a timing belt change ect. |

Love It — i love this car it is fast small and can handle really well the t tops r great when it is a nice blue sky kind of day the turbo is awsome when it actually goes into boost I love it Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: fast Cons: it breaks down |

Widebody Mr2 — Handles great on cruises through the canyons like De Luz in Temecula Ca, and during grip night at Adams Track my fastest time is 52 seconds. Wish it was turbo! My son loves taking rides in my car, he always tends to fall asleep. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Keeps on going Cons: Non Turbo and only seats 2 |

Awesome — Handles like nothing I've ever experienced before. The engine is in the right place to give near 50/50 weight distribution. The power on the Normally aspirated cars aren't too bad, but you'll soon be craving the power of the turbos Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Taking the roof out on a hot day, music up loud and going for a blast down country lanes Cons: when it starts raining and you have to scrambleabout trying to put the roof on in time lol |
