Bob's Stuff — No major problems. Just regular maintenance. The upholstery is still perfect. The paint is still good. I noticed a hole forming in the rug under the gas pedal. Great little car and still running strong with 189,000 miles. Oh, and it gets 30 MPG! and is a very comfortable car to drive. Pros: everything Cons: none ![]() Looking for a Used Corolla in your area?CarGurus has 21,881 nationwide Corolla listings starting at $1,900. |

Toyota Corolla — It had excellent acceleration and handling..... But once the brakes failed... It rattles quite frequently but this does not affect the performance.... It's Silver in colour and it suites the car best.... It had low mileage AED 5o full tank and demanded maintenance only once in three to four months.... It was a lot of fun to ride this car and could seat upto 5 adults and 3 kids... I wish I could recommend it to a friend but............. it's engine caught fire and we had to scrap it.. Pros: Good pick up, low mileage Cons: Lack of cruise facility and sunroof |

My Go-get-around-town Thing — Bought this when I needed a get-around car. Turns out it was more than what I expected from a old scrap. Handling was amazingly tight. No understeer, lift-oversteer. The old 4AGE kept overheating though. Pros: Nimble Cons: Unreliable unless u restore it. |

Reliabilty In A Box — Very reliable, not too uncomfortable to drive. Always starts and things did not break easily, except the rear axel when it hit a curb during a drift-session which went over the limits ;) Very economic, could run 20km/l or 5 liter pr. 100 km. Pros: Very Reliable, cheap replacement parts, forgiving. Cons: Slow, no servo |

Reliable! — paid 1000$ and been driving it for almost 3 years already. Only did the basics: change oil, brakes, suspension (cause i live in quebec), tires. If it wasnt so rusted i would probably drive it for another 10 years. Pros: cheap to run, my sound system :) Cons: rust |

Like A Tank — at 200,000 miles its running strong. its only had the very minimal maintenance and what not done. If it didn't need to be fixed it wasn't. its not a pain to drive, its not particularly fun though Pros: Zippy. Fairly big insides, very dependable Cons: front seat kinda cramped, Noisy |
1991 Toyota Corolla Base Review
ComeDancing says:
I bought this car new. Right off the lot, it was slow going uphill and on the highway, but it handled very well--it would turn on a dime. I liked the steering wheel, which was slender enough for my small hands, and the windows are very large, making it possible to see all around me. I liked this car very much, and highly recommend it for first-car buyers. vs1969 Toyota Corona Sedan
