The Only New Car I've Ever Owned... Wouldn't Trade It For Anything. — I bought my car new in May 1990 and remain its sole owner/driver. It was my primary car until 1997/1998, where I bought a truck and removed it from the road (difficult - no impossible - to navigate the western PA winter roads). The car has been sitting under a cover in my garage for the past 12-13 years - only about 75,000 mi. I pulled it out about 3 years ago and it fired up almost immediately. I let it idle to get some temp in the engine, shut it down, washed it, and pulled her back into storage. It is my intention to fix the small items (left headlight won't retract, pass door outside handle, hood cylinders need replaced (hood won't remain up unassisted), hood release mechanism needs fixed, want to replace all hoses, plugs, check brakes/fluid, and flush coolant and tranny fluid). Now that I have approached middle age (lol), I intend to only use her for casual driving on nice days. Can't wait fort that first drive !!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Sleek appearance - head turner, great handling, low maintenance

Cons: Not recommended as an every day car, forget the winter season

'91 Firebird, Absolutley A Friends Car — My car is almost considered a classic in 2011. I like the way it rides because it is soo smooth and most of the time you cant really tell if your goin 25 or 75. And when you spped up to pass another car, you can hear the engine really rem and it just sounds so cool. The performance is wonderful, except that it pulls a little to the left when braking. You can hardly tell if you are accelerating and slowing down. The gas is a little spendy though but we get a lot of miles in a tank like 246, but it sorta guzzles gas. Yes, I would reccomend this car because some of my friends are a little weird and this car is perfect for them.

Pros: its realy fun to ride in, engine is very clean and  there is no gunk caught up in anything

Cons: one speaker doesnt work as well as the other one and its radio is ok, but not the best.

Awesome!! — This is definitly a car to have and for the price you can find them it is well worth it. It sounds great both the v6 and v8 models sound awesome. It looks ultra sleek, and even sitting still looks fast. The acceleration on both the v6 and v8 models is out of this world. the v8 model will do a quarter mile in 13 seconds stock. The braking is quality. It handles better than most sports cars that i have driven. The build quality is amazing and easy to upgrade. Im a big fan of the style and the interior can look very very sleek. This car is great and i have a blast in it every day.

Pros: Awesome car, Fast, Sleek, and all around amazing.

Cons: None really. I have absolutely no problems with this car.

Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr Formula Hatchback Review — This car is a very good car. i have had no major problems with it. it has good acceleration and good handling, it is a solid car, but it rides like a jeep and there is some rattle when you hit big bumps... for a V8 305 the MPG is not that bad around 20 MPG on high/city.if you like the old looking cars than the Apperance is great. sharp, and sleek looking on the inside and out. on the repair side from when i owned this car (going on 2 years) i have had to do some repairs. fuel injectors, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and O2 Sensor. i would recommend this car to a freind.

Pros: overall great car

Cons: not much room in back for freinds..

Wish I Could Ave It Back — loved the car to death. jus wished i coulda had it one color instead of different color panals. miss it. if i could or had the chance to ever get it back i would do whatever i had to to be able to do so. it performed gread always sarted for me the first time all the time. great braking and handling. it never needed any repairs cause i was always fixing what was going wrong with the car. spent whatever money i had to on the car to keep her going. overall i would give it a 5 out of 5 had the car for 2 and a half years never let me down

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: love driving f-bodys especially ones with t-tops

Cons: had to gert rid of her cause i tidnt have the time or money anymore to fix what was wrong

Rare Car — got this car during the cash for clunkers program. if you are looking for a great performance vehicle the best option is to find a stick shift trans am for two reasons one it provides a more enjoyable driving experience. two with a stick if you are inclined to upgrade you can replace it with a 6speed out of a 1993-2002 trans am or camaro the only bad thing with these cars is the paint has issues but after almost 20 years what do you expect.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: like performance

Cons: more than three passengers

Built For Speed — very fast car with a beautiful engine, was too fast i ended up crashing it, but it was worth the ride. body quality is good i like the exterior but interior was a bit shabby, handling was decent but as its rear wheel drive lacking a bit, gas was horrible had a 5.1 litre engine and the way i drove you could watch it go down, still though if you can afford it a fun car to enjoy as long as you know how to drive it.

Pros: very fast, musclecar look and shape

Cons: straight up speedster no luxuries, dangerous if you can't control it

91 V6 Firebird — This car did what it was meant to do. Have ok performance, while saving some fuel, (and buy in price.) It was miserable in any thing but dry roads, and reliability was an issue as were all 3rd gen F-bodies. Paint was an issue as well. It was relatively comfy, but it was in need of more room. It had enough squeaks and rattles to make even the most sane person crazy though, even after 10 minutes of driving.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Performance, fuel milage, looks

Cons: quality, reliability, usless in rain & snow

Thoughts — This is my first Firebird, first convertible too!! 2nd owner, 70,000 original motor. All stock un molested. List of mods I plan on doing in order. New Pioneer sound system New paint, stock color New soft top New aftermarket exhaust Complete suspension mods New tires and rims A super charged, liquid inter-cooled 350 TPI That's it not really to much. just bring it up to date a little.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Convertible

Cons: Not a winter time vehicle.

The Car Is Decent And Is A Nice Cruiser Thats Good On Gas. — The firebird is sporty and fun to drive, im not very impressed with the v6, but I need a car with good gas milage. I installed a cold air intake and it seemed to breath and take off a lot better then before so overall im really satisfied with the car. Me personally I am all about the 1st,2nd, and 4th Gen firebirds, I just think the third gen is just a cheap version of the 4th gen.

Owner for 0 years, 1 months

Pros: Gas milage, sporty, nice cruiser.

Cons: cops follow you and cheap styling interior.
