2.0 Is Much Better — I got this one which bought when I was a high school student from my dad. The engine was under power and shocking all the time when a little load on it. However, the break was great even without ABS or EBA. Pros: Stylish Cons: Poor engine power ![]() Looking for a Used Sentra in your area?CarGurus has 13,964 nationwide Sentra listings starting at $1,200. |

Good Beater Or Daily Driver, Cheap Enough For Most Students. — i like the gas mileage and efficient use of space in this vehicle. it's also fairly reliable and cheap to maintain. my biggest turnoff would have to be the door hinges and some of the other bodywork, which is kind of annoying as well as having to disassemble any given section of the car for certain service items. the car has a very go kart like ride and sticks to the road well with a 4 way independent strut suspension. another drawback is the acceleration is kinda slow sometimes, but i think most of the problems on this car aren't too bad for an 18 year old car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: good handling, good gas mileage, easy to park Cons: lots of labor costs on some repairs, kinda slow for most sporty drivers. |

My First Car What A Great Choice :) — Well I got mine last may in BC, Canada. Drove it across the country. It now had 234,000 km and still runs great. I'm not sure what trim level mine is, it just says Sentra. Performance is so so, but I know it would be a lot more fun if it had a 5 speed. Its a pretty solid car for its size. So far I've replaced the fuel pump, which I guess can happen to any car. It still has the breaks and tires I bought it with. It is also quite cheap on gas, which you need when you're out of town. It is also a great winter car. I will have my heart set on another Sentra. Pros: Gas mileage, definitely reliable, responsive handling Cons: I'd kind of like intermittent whippers(probably base model), 5 sp would have a lot more pick up |

This Was My First Baby!! — It was a great car and I just got rid of it a couple of years ago. I loved my Sentra. Pros: It was a great first car. It had collapsable bumpers which helped to absorb the impact. I cannot emphasize enough that it was solid. It also had great gas mileage. Cons: It had a neutral switch problem which was annoying, but tolerable. Also the fuel pump went out on my twice because of another manufacturing error, but once fixed it too was tolerable. |

Torquey 4 Banger That Is Great On Gas — Great little cars that have an impressive 2.0L sr20de motor. These motors are fantastic and give equal torque and horsepower unlike many 4 cylinders. These cars are fun and small and do great on gas. Pros: Lot of cheap and easy performance parts for these cars. Cons: Right now my car does not run. |

1 Car Ever Bought. — Since buying it from the old lady who only drove it to church and back... I put on 230,000 and some 8 years later Its only now become a lemon. Pros: easy and cheap to fix. Lots of manuals to help you along. Cons: car is now too old to find key parts even from scrap yards. |

An Inconspicuous Car That Hauls Ass And Pulls 0.9gs For Cheap. — A great little car that kinda grows on you. It's not the prettiest thing you'll ever see, but, from the driver's seat, it's quite a ride. Lightweight, rev-happy, and predictable handling, with fool-proof brakes too. :) Z32 TT pistons balanced bottom end ARP fasteners JWT S4 w/ BC springs & retainers Hotshot Gen5 header w/ 3" exhaust + Thermal R&D muffler Pacesetter short shifter ACT HD clutch NX2000 2-row radiator High-pressure radiator cap
Pros:
<>This car didn't get the optional ABS (which sucks anyways).
Cons:
<>Sunroof (leaks, and very heavy - it's soon to disappear) |

The Best Fwd Nissan Has Ever Put Out. If You Can Get One, Id Reccommend It. — Well, aside from them becoming more and more rare by the minute, they are great to pick up. They already come very light, 2300lbs (less if you have no sunroof, power windows etc) Braking, handling, acceleration are pretty good in stock form, but there are lots of aftermarket for the car. In the Handling aspect, all the bushings can be changed to polyurethane, a good strut spring combo can be used, or full body coil overs can be used. Stock brakes are decent for the car, though i would recommend steel braided brake lines, and some upgraded sport brake pads, which really wake it up, and let you push much harder, and brake a lot later before a corner. If you go turbo, or start making a lot more power in the future, there are big brake kits that are a must. The stock motor is a 2.0L SR20DE engine. 7500 rpm red line, 140hp. With the stock weight its still very nimble, and you can shove around a lot. Its the perfect car if you live inner city, or have a good set of twisty roads near you. There is alot of after market support, and different engines you can swap it. For me the best combo is a good suspension and mild break upgrade, with 200+ lbs of weight reduction and all motor SR20DE or SR20VE. Mid 13 second 1/4 mile with go cart reflexes. It will own on the auto x course, or your local HPDE events. Build quality is on par with most cars of its day. The metal is thin, and there are some plastic's but the important parts are rubber or vinyl rapped. The interiors in the south get cracked and beat up, and the exteriors up north rust easily. Gas mileage is very good. Not sure about the stock engine, but mine makes almost 100hp more and i get 29-32 in the city, and 30 on the highway. The stock car was a bit better. The car is great fun. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Simple, basic fun. Good aftermarket support, and its rare. Cons: If your looking for something newer in body style, or want an updated feel. |
