Civic: Whimpy Little Ride Or Small Box Of Joy? — What is a civic? well it's one step up from a go cart and one step bellow a respectable car. it's not the best looking car, it most certainly doesn't not have mind blowing performance and to top it off it's front wheel drive. but despite all that it makes for a great ride. i believe the true beauty of this car comes out when you're actually behind the wheel of it. it starts off as soon as you turn the key and expect to hear something of an engine noise coming from under the hood, only to be disappointed by something that sounds a little more aggressive than a loud lawn mower. but somehow it always put a smile on my face. then as soon as you take off down the street you come up to the first corner and turn the wheel but thanks to the lack of power steering you have to use the strength of an ox. but it does keep feedback high. then the next thing you encounter is a steep hill. you start taking the hill in 3rd and you look down and notice a steady drop in RPM then you shift down to 2nd to make things a little easier. but then you notice that even at wide open throttle your RPM aren't even rising and you're only making it up the hill because you gave it a good running start. all in all it's all these little things that only become obvious once you drive a civic around that really makes the ride enjoyable and fun. i am pretty sure that sometime down the road i will own another. Pros: makes you laugh when you see how hard it tries Cons: it's not going to be passing things on the highway |

Gotta Love Honda! — I bought this car with about a 152k on it. It had a lot of new O.E.M. parts on the engine (timing belt, water pump, alternator, starter, a/c compressor). I have added a ram air intake, custom exaust (complete), short shift, 17" Koing rims, Eibach racing springs, Front A-arms with adjustable ball joints, Wicked rear camber kits. I have a t3/t4 turbo going on it soon. Just need to find the time to rebuild the engine. My friend who owned it before me made a custom rear wing. This car is fun to drive. It is a 5-speed and very quick for the 1.5L engine. I took it to the track and it ran the quarter in the high 17's. I plan to get it in the high 14's with the turbo. The best thing I like about it is the gas milage I get, about 31-35 m.p.g.. Fun and economic all in one. Gotta love Honda! Pros: economic and fun Cons: nothing |

Cowabunga! — this car has been great! I've owned it all 18 years! 300k is just around the corner! Very reliable and has some fun around the corners. It's fuel efficient, easy to park, low cost of maintenance even at 290k. Pros: long lasting, great on fuel economy Cons: all manual steering! |

'91 Honda Civic Hatch — Fun to drive as a 4spd manual, handles tight around turns, starts every time the key is turned regardless of weather or temperature. Gas mileage is fantastic, between 35-41 mpg with mixed highway/city driving. The manufacturer's specs called for 35 mpg only highway! With only about 80hp after my tinkering, it's still a tad underpowered, but better than the factory 70hp. Bought it from my friend at 198500 miles two years ago, has about 225750 on it now. I'm sure I could rack up 100k more on it as long as I take care of it. Classic old school Honda reliability at it's best! Pros: GAS MILEAGE!!! Cons: Underpowered |

This Car Surprises Me — Bought this baby after I sold my 3000gt. should have kept it I know, paid $900 for it with 220K miles. drove it for a solid 2 years or so. We hit a fire extinguisher and almost hit a house and it pushed the wheel back like 4 inches and was basically totaled. So we yanked the wheel back into place, bought a new rim, cuz that was wrecked to, and turned it into an ice racer. The car now has 260K on it, all original, besides the stuff we cut off for less weight, and it rips around the track in 2nd at 55-60mph. its going to pop soon I'm sure. Pros: gas mileage, Honda, reliable, fun Cons: small, unsafe, big windshield, |

Its An Awsome Starter Car — It depends on how well maintained your vehicle is. As for mine, well it was decent. Acceleration was ok but its only a 4 stroke so there was barley anything to it. Handling was ok, and it drove good on the highways. The gas milege was poor but at 17 1/2 years old, how good can it be? :P It was fun to driv but should have been better maintained.
Pros:
size ( parkings a breeze )
Cons:
low horse power = poor acceleration |
