Ford Fiesta Mk3 — Great little first car, cheap to insure cheap to fix and most importantly very cheap to run!.I loved this car and wish i had never got rid of it, as far as i know it has now been scrapped. It has no powered steering but is very light even when doing a 3point turn, perfect for a little run around. Never let me down fair enough it needed new parts e.g clutch backbox and wheel bearing but the parts taken off were all original and it was 17 years old at the time not bad 4 an old banger!.

Pros: Ideal for a first car or a run around.Cheap to run, very economical, £30 filled the petrol tank and lasted about 3 weeks driving it every day.

Cons: You will need to check the oil quite reqularly at least once a week as it is an old car and burns off alot of oil, also being a ford it is prone 2 rust especially around the petrol cap and rear wheel arches, this car had no rust on it when i bought it 3 years ago when it was 14 years old!.

Legend!! — Small and unimpressive looking but an all round brilliant motor! Perfect for new drivers as its reliable, compact, cheap to run & cheap to insure. Comes with lesser known off-road skills (mine cleared a ditch & sirvived!) and can also have the element of surprise at the lights if you boot it hard enough! Not a sexy car but a practical one.

Pros: Good little mum-mobil & gets kinny when needed!

Cons: Bit lame to look at & needs a bit more power

Cheap And Alright — as acar..well ideal but not as a car as afolow on to cars like a 3500 rover and 2.0 sirra sapphire. a 1.0 fiest was ok as a runaround but basic, although very economica. not my choice and was sold soon after

Pros: cheap

Cons: like a crate

Good Little Car — Had 1.1 Fiesta - my second car. Very reliable - my mum still drives it now and its 17 years old! No power steering though so a little tough to turn wheel and brakes arent as good as they used to be. But it is 17 years old - the same age as the trainee at my work!!

Pros: Very reliable, economical. Good all-rounder

Cons: No power steering or ABS but what do you expect for a 17 year old car?
