I don't drive it until october 25th but my sister said it is a good car. it's a 5 speed and has the 2.8 V6 in it. it still has the stock radio in it but it has a good sterio. its a nice truck and for sure a working truck. so if you want a working truck then get this

Pros: first car

Bad 4x4 Models But Good 2wd Models. — Reliability is terrible; I know two other 4x4 S10/Blazer owners who have had to replace the front end' on their trucks several times, however the 2wd models have faired far better from my knowledge. The 4.3L V6 is an excellent engine when coupled with the un-evenly geared 5 speed.

Pros: Strong 4.3L V6

Cons: Unreliable; check Consumer Reports.

Strong Running Truck — stock- 2.5L 4 cylinder engine making about 100-110 hp, T5 5 speed manual gearbox, open ended one legger rear, bench seat, manual windows, manual locks, manual stearing, 15 inch stamped steel wheels, factory a/c. Modifications- Rear suspension lowered 6 inches, front airbag suspension, bucket seats, front bumper set back 1 inch, 18 inch eagle alloy wheels, bravada grill and tail lights, shaved roll pan, shaved tailgate, 2&1/2 inch cowl hood, Ford focus electric fan, removed inner fender wells, cut and set firewall back for tires to tuck, 4 horn train horns, cat removed, and 2&1/2 inch exhaust dumped before rear.

Pros: had over 300,000 miles and was still running, eye catching when you are dragging down the highway at night

Cons: started to nickle and dime for stupid things, had to get rid of when i got the new truck

My Baby — Owned it since 05, only major thing that went wrong with it was a electrical fire in 07. Did not effect performance, but did trash interior. 4.3 V6 is Brawny as Hell for a Light truck, Sounds awesome with no muffler.

Pros: Rarely had to Fix, Drove it hard alot w/out problems, all my friends love it

Cons: No 4x4

Solid Truck, Did What It Had To. Doubles As A Bulldozer. — Good truck however the example I bought wasn't in prime shape. With the flat-black spraypaint scheme (before it was popular) and the completely shot ball joints, I was only driving it cause I had to.

Pros: Decently strong engine.

Cons: Styling not so hankerable.

Good — i like everything about the truck although it does have alot of miles on it, it still gets me from place to place, and no noises, no engine rebuilds, no trans rebuild, all original, it does hall a** when you stomp it down. IT IS NOT FOR SALE

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 455,194k on it still runs strong

Cons: nothing sucks about this vehicle

Great Utility Vehicle, Just Adequate As A Daily Driver. —

When used as a winter driver or as a utility vehicle for hauling, hunting, or off-roading, this truck is great. I have found the 4.3L V6 coupled with the 4x4 nigh unstoppable in snow or mud. I've made it through drifts 3 feet deep, even while traveling uphill on tires with very little tread remaining. I have used my truck in one of my own moves and have helped many friends and family with moving duties, in which the hauling ability of the S10 has always proved invaluable. The extended cab is great for stowing tools, hunting gear, towstraps, ropes, chains, flashlights, and the like, and also features two small flip-down seats which are suitable only for children. However, the benefits of the extended cab come at the cost of a short bed, which cuts down on hauling capacity and makes hauling longer objects somewhat difficult if they cannot rest atop the tailgate or safely hang off of the back of the truck with the tailgate down. The all-steel body construction lends itself to significant rust issues if driven through the winters, which can result in some maintenance issues (rusted gas tank, brake lines, fuel lines). I've also found that the doors tend to sag over time due to their solid steel construction, which means completely closing the door requires one to pick up on the door while closing it. There is no factory hitch, which is a major drawback. I purchased my S10 with an after-market bumper-mounted hitch in place, which did not stand up to the weight of a medium sized trailer. The overall ride comfort is low, as handling is somewhat sloppy and there is pronounced body lean through curves. Fuel economy ranges from 16-20 mpg. Seats are of low quality and are not suited for extended drives. The lack of power accessories can make driving monotonous. An excellent utility vehicle or winter driver, the 4x4 S10 is not for families, for those with extended daily commutes, or for those who enjoy a comfort-laden driving experience.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: 4x4, winter / off-road driving, cargo capacity, engine power, underbody guard package.

Cons: Lack of power accessories, poor seat quality, rust-prone, poor acceleration in relation to engine size, short bed makes hauling long objects slightly difficult.

Miss This One... — The performing aspect of the truck is this simple...It's not made to go fast... Build quality is fair. Appearance is incredible for being a 91! Very fun to drive! It's a 5 speed so its like driving a big go cart!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great on gas, easy to customize

Cons: No power steering
