My Caprice —

This car is achingly beautiful, at least to me. If only the performance lived up to it. I'm not sure what size V8 it has, but the acceleration is incredibly anemic, and it had serious trouble on hills before we had the timing reset. It manages about 19.6 city with depressing regularity, and on the few long trips we've taken in it, delivers a decent 23 or 24 mpg. Not too terrible for a two-ton car as old as I am. The color might be my favorite feature of the car--kind of a mahogany-red. I also love the two chrome character lines, especially the bottom one that sweeps effortlessly over the wheel skirt/cover. We've sunk alot of money into this car, and the stereo still doesn't work, but it runs pretty strong. It's very easy to drive, I don't know about fun. It's a little too big and ungainly to be genuinely tossable, and the shocks and suspension seem to be made entirely of silly putty--they absorb all the bumps, but wallows like a hippopotamus at the mildest curves--and the endlessly comfy but incredibly unsupportive seats, which are basically just slabs of cushion, don't help. It's built like a tank, just prettier. The performance is the only thing that keeps me from loving this car with all my heart.

Pros: Looks, Interior, cruising, Highway MPG (for a car this size)

Cons: Engine, stereo doesn't work, City MPG, size, handling

B-bodies I Love Them! — This is one of four Caprices I've owned. The B-bodies were a classic automobile. Even though the vehicle is heavy you still get great performance especially if you have the 9c1 package. I love this car and will continue to purchase and drive the B-bodies for as long as they exist! Shorty wanna ride wit me?

Pros: Everything! Get a 9c1 and put some pipes on it!

Cons: If you have something negative to say then you've obviously never driven one!

Was A Great Old Wagon — Put on 30k in1 year. Was great, smooth, huge, great for hauling stuff around. Got hit by a girl in a Taurus with it, totaled the Taurus, and broke some plastic on the wagon. It was tough. Didn't even blow the air bag.

Pros: heavy

Cons: Only a 5.0L V8, wished it was the 5.7L like my first caprice.

Classy, Fun, And Comfortable — Bought it as cheap transportation, did a radiator replacement within the first week, then the brakes went out and it just sat until I got rid of it.

Pros: Engine sound, most comfortable seats of any car I've ever been in, gas mileage was horrendous

Cons: HUGE, unreliable

Very Durable Car — its been though 3 crashes and im still putting miles on it . good ol chevy 305 small block under the hood , reliable , its got power but it wouldnt hurt to have a couple extra hores under there somtimes. speed limiter kicks in around 120 ... dont ask how many times iv done that .

Pros: big , can take a good hit and come back , a full size air matteress fits in the back. rear wheel drive has been been used to get the ol tree stand up before deer season.

Cons: big , drinks gas ,

Nice Car For Long Drives — If I could I would buy another to rebuild the way I would like it to be. It does need more power to the rear The only thing I did not like is the rear wiper or how to take factory radio out

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Perfect car for family and long trips ... Good base to build another lowrider

Cons: Removing the factory stereo was a pain in the butt
