It Will Get You Where You Are Going — My 190 is a great little car. Its a Mercedes, so of course it is nice, even if it is old. It is cheap to maintain, and a comfortable car to drive. The bottom line is it will get you where you are going.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Its a Benz

Cons: bad radio

Great Car, Must Be Shopped For Cautiously! — I think it is a born clasic of the eighties, still has a modern touch to it even after all these years, and keeps it condition due to great care in build a quality from mercedes. Repair wise the car asks for a lot if not taken care of properly from a young age, but take one that's a veteran and it will look stunning. All leather interior, everything works, and fun to drive.

Pros: because it looks awesome

Cons: Maintenance costs and risks of getting a lemon

Baby Benz With A Six — amazing car! i have a japanese 2.6 version, a jdm benz, with sport option suspension like those in twin cam 190E's. Excellent looks, classic design like those W123 sedans. My first C-class Benz. Superb build, but gets expensive to maintain. Kicks nice jap and american ass!

Pros: Build. Power. Looks. Technology.

Cons: Maintenance.

1990 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.6l Spec And Review — 2.6L Straight-6 Engine with 160 Brake Horsepower. Curb Weight of 2955 lbs. Rear Wheel Drive. 162 ft- lbs of Torque. 17 mpg when driven hard. 21 mpg when driven nicely. Automatic Transmission makes her sluggish, but holding the tranny in the lower gears for a longer period of time gives the needed acceleration. Very good brakes for non ceramic. Suspension is tight, but a little too soft for my taste. For 18 years old, not many repairs are needed. Leaks oil though, but it's 18 years old... I cope. Body and chassis is very angular and not slopey and curvy, I prefer the straight edge design. Interior has the most comfortable seats possible, very comfy. Basically a very fun car to drive and have.

Pros: Everything.

Cons: Heavy. Soft Suspension. Replacement Parts are Costly

Old School Merc's Last Forever And Are Very Comfortable — Performance on this spec 190E is great, particularly on motorways. Ride quality is fabulous - very comfortable and very smooth, it soaks up bumps and is quieter that a lot of new cars, including my brothers 2007 Honda Accord. Renowned for bulletproof reliability, this one has over 210,000 miles on the clock and still worries a LOT of much more modern cars for both straight line speed and handling (mine benefits from limited slip diff, sports suspension, wider factory alloys and 10in vented discs at the front). Fuel consumption isn't great, but the noise, performance and comfort more than make up for it.

Pros: Reliability, performance, comfort

Cons: Fuel consumption

German Engineering At It's Finest! — I absolutely love this car! Even though it is as old as I am and has well over 300,000 miles, this car still drives like a dream. Performance is as good as it was when new and the build quality is phenomenal; true German engineering. My only complaint is that some of the seals are beginning to leak; in the trunk mainly. Besides that, the interior is still in great condition apart from a little sun-fading, and the wood around the center console is cracked. Exterior is basically perfect. A previous owner backed into something and the bumper is pushed in slightly, and recently a squirrel threw a pine cone on the hood and left a dent (grrrr,...), but that is the only flaws. As far as cost, gas mileage is decent and it hasn't needed any major repairs. The rear main seal does leak slightly, so a quart of oil is needed every 500 miles, and with having to use premium gas, the cost has just recently begun to ware on me. Overall, this car is comfortable and classic, and will continue to be so until only God knows when. =]

Pros: comfortable, runs great, looks great!

Cons: premium gas only, slight rear main seal leak, minor issue with weather stripping in trunk.

Lovely Car — just nice enough, nice shape, komfort, low fuel exspences, quality at it`s best, bad with rust, 83 model, did start to get old to fast, nice shape, really nice shape, it`s a good car to drive, I did like it alot and I was`nt happy at all with sending it to the scrap jyard. Mileage was about 288.000 or something, maintenance nothing more than other cars I guess.

Pros: good to drive

Cons: not to many hp to knock in to the tabel with

You Want A Real Ride, Buy A Benz — just got car, has a wonderful inline 6 with tons oh pick up. has like 165 bhp stock. has to meny features, its really the over engineered car, thats not a bad thing at all. the fuel distrubition center is very mechincal and can be a pain if it ever goes out.

Pros: great inline 6, easy break jobs lol.

Cons: breaks always squeek, relay problems that arent very cheep to replace
