Mazda Miata — Love this little thing. Handles like its on rails. Need more power for sure, but that why i am putting a turbo on it soon. New tires would be nice, but need to first decide if i want to get new rims first. The built quality is pretty good for 1990. The car is very light and get 35+ mpg. Drifts great too;-)

Pros: Handles great

Cons: underpowered

Still The One. — What can be said about the world's best selling sports car of all time? The miata is the benchmark for the entry level sports car market. The miata offers great balance and handling for a low price. I've gotten more looks of encouragement and thumbs up in this car then any other. Huge smiles per Gallon. The only downside is that I can't drive it all the time. Those who mock the miata as a gay car or women's car obviously are clueless and don't understand sports cars. No other cars are nearly as capable for the money.

Pros: The miata is still the benchmark.

Cons: My other car is not a miata.

Mi Little Mx5 — Best fun driving car for less than € 5000!! Mine was very early euro spec Mx5: with no power steering, but with a good torsen lsd. Fun,Fun,Fun for more or less 200000kms, with only clutch, gearbox(was only noisy...), and hood replaced. She was always perfect, in summer,or winter,in city center,or on autobahn at 200km/h. If you are young, and love to drive, buy one like mine: 116 ps first series and you'll love her forever!!! My next step is a Lotus Elise s2, just bought 2 months ago

Pros: All!!!!

Cons: ..........surely i don't know: maybe lacks of air conditioned???

1990 Miata — Turns on a dime, has just enough power for a whole lot of fun, rides reasonably smooth considering its short size. Cheap to own, gets pretty good mileage and is also easy to insure. One of the most fun cars I've ever experienced on a twisty road, hands down. I learned to drive a stickshift in this car by driving around my neighborhood for 3 hours just to get the feel of it. It's currently down due to the bad crankshaft issue that plagued the first year and a half worth of cars, but is going back together by my hands.

Pros: Handling, looks, and value

Cons: Little bit down on the power, but easily upgraded

Great Tiny Convertible, Perfect For Daily Driving , As A Weekend Racer Or Full Track — There are only a few roadsters on the market, the miata, Z3/4, S2000, Solstice and Sky to name most of em. The miata is definitely not the most powerful, nor the best out of the factory, but that isnt going to bother people daily driving it, and its just a finger snap away from being completely redoable. With its tiny body, and the 1.6L engine powering it, the miata is perfect on the street. Modifying it costs virtually nothing, a turbo kit and coilovers is a perfect start and in no time, it will be happy taking corners on a track or in a canyon.

Pros: Small light body, easy to modify, cheap to modify, good array of parts for it, easy to turn into a track car without much money. has several good racing classes for it including auto X and spec miata racing.

Cons: the chassis is overly flexible, a roll cage is need for racing and a roll bar should be placed on even for daily driving, its small, so its harder to notice on the street and not as safe when crashed, a hard top will be needed for racing, and should be placed on the car in rainy areas as the soft tops tend to leak

Indestructible Toy That You Can Keep On Loving Forever. — Very easy to tune and customize yourself. Fun car to drive and definately fun to fuel since it doesent eat gas. corners like a mad man on adderall.

Pros: Handling, and over all fun to drive. Solid suspension power train and body.

Cons: Leaves a little to desire in brakes (but that can be fixed with money)

Small — I can barely fit into the dang thing. The fact that it's a 1.6L 4 cylinder makes it kind of weak.

Pros: Easy to get around the parking lot.

Cons: Not meant for a bigger guy (6'3", 275 lbs)

1990 Miata — This car handles fantastically well. It is not particularly fast, but it is great to just unwind the engine for a few seconds without having to be overly concerned about getting pulled over for speeding.

Pros: Fantastic handling, good fuel economy, fun to drive, looks good

Cons: Very little trunk space.  Noisy with fiberglass hardtop on.  Some electrical bugs, probably from aftermarket equipment
