The Ultimate Affordable Convertible — I bought the '91 Miata as replacement for my Fiat Spider. The Miata was certainly a step up in reliability, performance, and handling. Sportier than the Fiat and more fun to drive, although not as confortable. Tons of aftermarket stuff for personalizing the car. Reliability was great, no repairs while I had it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Praticality

Cons: Nothing to hate, perfect in its market segment

My Miata — Really fun car! Brand new top is easy to put up and down. Paint is excellent. Silver stripes. Great gas mileage, and runs on regular. No major dents or scratches. Its not perfect, but a great deal for the money.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun little ride

Cons: Not good in winter

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: awsome handeling, perfect drift and AutoX car

Do Yourself A Favor And Drive One. You Will Love It. — The Miata is such a fun car, we could not help but love it. The way it drives, the way you feel when you drive it. Ours was very reliable with very little that didn't hold up. The canvas top lasts about 5 years, depending on how you care for it, but there are many replacements available. We had the fiberglass hard top which makes the body even stiffer than with the top down. It is already pretty good, though. We drove ours at Roebling Road race track in Georgia. What fun!! Love it, Love it!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It's a Miata.  What more do you need?  It is just fun.

Cons: Avoid it if you don't like to have fun.

Fun And Cheep — This car had a ton of after market goodies. Sure, it wasn't much of a looker but it was my first attempt at restoring a car. You really should have seen it before! All in all it was a nice car, just wasn't the one for me.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fast, agile, easy upgrades

Cons: small, a little noisey

Mx-5 Cheap Thrills — fun to drive, basic construction and a light weight 2 seater convertible, Barbie would love it. tuning is easy, and upgrades can be had for little money. engine swaps are possible to v-8,s without body mods. extreme measures are a possibility with little effort and income.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: go-cart feel with race car handling

Cons: go-cart feel

Awesome! — Love this little monster! Had it professionally turboed and it flies! So much fun - only drive on nice days -stays in garage otherwise! What a fun machine - turns on a dime - hugs the road - interior wraps around you - incredibly reliable.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: great looks, wonderfully manoeuverable, fun to drive

Cons: tiny trunk

Great Fun! — In 20 years I've never had a problem, it just keeps on running. I'm lucky, my red paint hasn't faded. We've taken it on long trips too, before we had kids. Just pack light, like you're going to Europe. Of course it's very well maintained...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a rag top!

Cons: Too afraid to be in a small car.

Love It Wouldn't Trade Anything For It. — Honestly it depends on what driver you are but i prefer something small and gets around those corners at high speeds with grace. I believe that is what the Miata has for those that drive it. Although small and low to the ground, it provides the a greater handling to grip the road. BTW...i haven't driven a lot of cars and that was my first sports car and still is the 2nd love of my life.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It was affordable but the ealier models were the best to drive

Cons: since it i a older model it needs work.
