One Of My Favourite Cars, An All Rounder. — Wicked car all around, not the biggest fan of the 4L quad cam small V8 but it did the job.. Build like a tank, has all the inbuilt and endless luxury features alot of new cars dont even have and has a wicked interior. Factory airbag suspension is a bonus aswell!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Comfortable, Alot Of Room, Nice Cruiser/family car

Cons: none to state

Loved It! — I absolutely loved this car! Even at 20 years old, it was in extremely good shape, and was a delight to drive. Performance was solid with a exceedingly smooth V8, and even at it's age the suspension made for a smooth-as-butter ride. I would not hesitate to buy another in the future.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very comfortable, luxury drive

Cons: Nil

Review — fantastic car for the money, built like a tank, seriously. not as thirsty as american large sedans, more luxurious, and more reliable. parts are pricey, and making it look cool is also pricey. a good rich guys toy, or daily driver

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: built well, reliability, comfortable, baller factor

Cons: timing belt from hell, parts cost, gas cost

A Must Drive — Luxury inside and out and in between! A button to do everything imaginable and then some, there may even be a button to wipe your ass but I haven't found that one yet. Beautiful drive on the highway. Gas mileage is certainly an issue tho.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Luxury

Cons: If ever needed, repairs are expensive.

One Of My Worst Mistakes — Here's my expensive history: March 1999 - Heater control valve was leaking - - - $239 to replace. June 1999 - Oil change and advised that the AC compressor was leaking. $109 Big mistake going to the dealer. July 1999 the AC compressor died (in Las Vegas that isn't acceptable when it's 110 degrees in the shade) that set me back $1200. July 1999 the air suspension froze-up and the car was not safe to drive. The driver side front shock was all the way down to the ground, and the passenger side rear was all the way up. Apparently when the shocks leak too much the pump ($1600 to replace) shuts off and you are stuck with a mind shattering stiff ride with no air coming in or out of the suspension. I opted to gut the air suspension and replace it with factory shock and strut suspension and saved $800 over repairing the problematic air suspension. Each air shock costs $800 and has to be replaced in pairs. This was done at the same time as the AC compressor and this alone cost $2200 to do. I was confident that this would be a permanent fix because the air shocks only last approximately 40,000 miles. Eight days later a high pressure freon hose broke. At this point my mechanic felt sorry for me and only charged me the cost of the part - - - $156. October 1999 - Power steering rack was leaking and 8 new spark plugs were needed. - - $940. They also replaced the antifreeze no charge. I think they discovered the "new guy" shouldn't have told me that regular green antifreeze won't hurt it. I've heard and read that only the pink alcohol(?) based antifreeze is to be used. Replaced the power steering rack again (mechanic felt sorry for me again and cut me a deal). Replaced the battery twice $120 first time, the second was replaced under warranty. Replaced the timing belt and water pump, water pump was leaking, timing belt wasn't due for another 20000 miles. $650 I'd only recommend this car to a filthy rich person that I don't like. On the plus side, the flawless V8 engine was great, but at a cost of only 21mpg on the highway . . . and that's cruising only at 70. The Nakamichi stereo sounds better than some live concert halls.

Pros: flawless V8 engine

Cons: God help you if you have to repair it a lot.

My Ls 400 — My second car. It's at about 181k miles now and still running. I'm using it as my workhorse until I replace the Bimmer. No complaints other than the amount of maintenance that's required for a vehicle this old. I've also owned this longer than any other vehicle I've had.

Pros: Electronic transmission, tilt steering wheel, V8

Cons: Gas mileage, warm-up time, constant maintenance cost
