I Would Like To Get A Newer Version, Afterall, A Jag Is A Jag — was good for its time with the pullout tablesin the back seats to entertain drinking buddies in the back, right down to the uk mobster look for the designgood handling, when the bearings and brakes go, be prepared to dish out cash, body rots suprisingly quick, love the seats, not good on fuel but if you want that, remember, it Aint a smart car, a blast from the past, sweet to drive though

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: looks sweet back in the day, memorable drive

Cons: mainetnance is crazy, and no rersale value

My Green Goddess — Solid? Yup! Saved my life when a Mazda RX7 plowed into my driver's side in 1987. Gorgeous Brittish Racing Green with gold side stripe & gold wheels. Tan leather interior - velvet head lining! Original walnut dash. The only other thing not stock, and its just a little thing, is the 350 Chevy engine - HaHa!!

Pros: Everything

Cons: Don't like to park it in public places

Solid And Dependable — solid and dependable. the performance is super, the acceleration is very smooth and its fun to drive. strong on ground. the body is very stong and the interior is just wonderfull for a car of its age. its worth a trial. jst that fuel consumption is high. a ride u can depend on anytime.

Pros: the interior n acceleration

Cons: fuel consumption

It's A Jag, Man - What Else To Comment? — The 4ltrs-engine is not the most powerful way to drive a jag, but enough to make relaxed 200km/h without overusing the engine. Anyway the XJ will never be a sportscar... but an eye-catcher! You don't drive, you glide! Girls will always love it.. if it's a new one or an old one... it is a Jag and you will never be judged as snobby, but as classy! The daimler-interiour is just great with the wooden tables in the back, all the lights etc. Handle engine careful if cold.

Pros: Just gliding! If kept in good condition, the Ford-area models are of higher quality than Jags were known to be. Will remain a classy car. Relatively easy to get used parts. Cheap models available.

Cons: Still british...complicated to repair, expensive new parts. High maintanance costs. Handling of a trunk, but still better than every american sedan.

1 Of The Worlds Best Cars — Pro`s easily outweigh the cons, buy a good one & you`ll fall in love, buy a bad one & watch your bank ballance plummet. Economy is the biggest issue, expect 14mpg in town, 25mph cruising on the motorway...

Pros: Like nothing on earth, amazing crash resistance, feel good factor

Cons: Electrical issues, MPG & rust.

Daimler Xj40 3.6 - I Simply Adored Its Performance — This was the first 'proper' car I drove after getting my full driver's license. My dad bought it from an expat & it was in immaculate condition. Having a 3.6L engine made it one helluva cruiser & I found its steering to be light and brake pedals light as a feather. I really like the rims as well as the sheer comfort it brought to its driver as well as passengers. However, it has also borne the brunt of countless electrical problems, and I have had many breakdowns with the Daimler. I had a great time nevertheless, although my heart was soon swayed with the entry of a BMW 730i, which I drove for about a month before coming to the UK. A few weeks back, my dad told me the car had ignition problems, & my mum insisted on selling the car after a string of mishaps. Sadly, the car was crashed into a river bank after being driven by a mechanic who was about to service the car. I do miss it, but I do feel sheepish knowing that it could've been much more reliable.

Pros: Awesome looks, smooth luxury sedan, decent acceleration, retro-styling

Cons: Jags are notorious for its electrical faults, so do be aware that maintenance costs are unavoidable. High fuel consumption.

Never Get Tired Looking At It Or Showing It. — Jaguar outdid themselves with this car, producing only 527 VANDEN PLAS MAJESTICS, and only for the US market in 1990. The classic style, outstanding Regency Red Metallic finish and impressive Magnolia Leather and Burled Walnut interior make it a very impressive show car.

Pros: It is my show car and attracts a lot of attention as I have won 4 trophies with it. Was love at first sight! Wonderful exterior color and beautiful interior, exclusivity of this particular model

Cons: not great mpg, somewhat expensive to repair
