Great, Reliable Car —

I got this car a couple weeks after the Corolla died; I was in a desperate need of a vehicle that was roomy enough to hold a bunch of newspapers I deliver, yet had good fuel economy (so trucks, vans, and SUVs were out of the question), this one was the only one in my budget available on Craigslist, at the time. The car was in a fair to poor condition and being sold for more than its worth, but I didn't want to offer something too low to the point that the owner would refuse to sell the car to me, so I offered $100 more than its worth, but the owner asked for another $100 and the price was settled for $200 less than the original asking price. The car had several minor to moderate problems that I've managed to fix over the year, but the rest is a bit too complicated for me to fix myself, since I'm not much of an mechanic. I really have to give it to this car for the fact it hasn't ever broken down on the side of the road, other than a couple times I had to change a flat tire, ever since buying the car. Unlike the Corolla, I sort of like how the Accord looks, which is, in some way, sort of sporty for a family car; I suppose it's because the body is low, wide, and relatively flat. Despite the fact that the car is getting pretty close in reaching 250,000 miles as of November 19, 2014, I'm pretty sure it will last another 50,000-100,000 miles, but I'll probably get rid of it, for a better car, before it reaches 300,000 miles.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great Fuel Economy outside work; Good Handling despite worn suspension

Cons: High mileage

Need A Car? Choice Made. — Performance? None Build Quality? Meh Appearance? No Cost of ownership? got 20 bucks? Fuel Economy? 24 (meh) Fun Factor? Through the roof. Nothing like beating one of these down a crooked road. Overall, this is another prime example of what Honda is missing in their lineup today. Simplicity. There are no fancy bells and whistles. It's a car, that runs, no matter what. The body and frame were known for rusting but its hideous anyway. Better looking than anything Honda makes currently but still hideous. Bottom line? It is a great example of basic transportation.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nothing to go wrong. Insanely fun to drive.

Cons: Everything that would satisfy your creature comforts.

Long Lasting Tank — Was in the family for about 16 years, brand new when bought for my mother. It was an EX-R trimline which is not shown on this program. Top of the line except no spoiler (ugly anyways) and no cd player. It drove fantastic untill its final days where it broke down litterally on a lift the brake lines were shot as well at the springs, shocks, and gas line had a leak. Also transmision was on its last legs. Also body after 16 montreal winters rusted quite a bit. However someone took posession of the car fixed it and last it is on the road.

Pros: Long lasting great on gas, usually extreemly reliable

Cons: Rust, it was badly sealed around the wheel wells

Sleeper - Looks Like An Old Man's Car But Still Beats A "fast And Furious" Lancer — Surprisingly a 100kw car, it beat a suped up late model Mitsubishi Lancer at the lights and down the road. All of the creature comforts come standard - electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, climate control airconditioning, power steering and "sports" gear mode. Only recently car manufacturers have made these items standard in their cars. It was this or a 1990 Audi 80 - costs way too much to get it repaired but the Audi had way better handling. For an everyday car, it's great.

Pros: Surprisingly pokey engine for how it looks.

Reliable.

Safe chassis.

Long distance perfomer - will do 6 litres per 100km on BP Ultimate if it's mainly highway driving.

Cons: Only real problem was the main dual relay - the one that gives power to the car and the fuel pump once you flick the key over, on the second click. The car gave up if you stopped and started more than once in 30 minutes - $100 AUD part and you can do it yourself.

Second gear kicks in a little too hard (auto), easily fixed though.

Turning circle is a little bigger than I thought it would be.

Despises back road / stop start driving - drinks more fuel that it should BUT see pros.

Great :) — My first OWN car :) First I wanted to buy bigger car, cuz i have kids, but when I drove this couple times I noticed that I don´t wanna sell this beauty :)) It´s soooo easy to handle! And interior is one that I like very much; seats r like satin or silk :) and easy to change pose even when ur driving. In winter this is quickly warm and in summer it´s easy to get cooler inside. I decided to pimp my ride little bit at least in summer, lets wait what she´ll gonna look after that ;)))

Pros: Everything in this car is great :) I can really recommend this to everyone :)

Cons: I can´t say any bad word of this car. I have 3 kids and 2 great danes and still we fit in :P so I don´t need to change car :)

Reliable, And Well Thought Of. — For a straight 4 cylinder engine, with 2.2 liters, it's gives a reasonable amount of power. But still, made on fuel economy, unlike some newer models with a V6 3.0 Liter engine! So yeah, the tyranny also comes with a sport, and what I believe is a 4, or 5 speed, which is now failing on me, and jumping, with more than 300,000 Km which I'll soon replace, along with many other things, but you could see it's a long lasting car, that's easy to fall in love with!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's built complex, yer simple.

Cons: Interier noise, tires etc. big factor. But it happens in many front wheel drives.

Great Gas Mileage, Fun To Drive, And I Miss It :( — This is my Honda. Nothing fancy, just my favorite car I have ever owned (ironically enough it is also the second car that I owned). It is currently sitting outside collecting dust as I need to work on it to get it back up and running as the rise in fuel costs have made driving my Explorer a complete waste of money. I am hoping by the end of June/mid July to have it done and ready to go fore the rest of the Summer.

Pros: Great mileage and fun to drive. The 5-speed is great and the engine is peppy enough to chirp when going into second gear.

Cons: Not running right now. Needs oil, new battery, coolant flush and new brake fluid.

Nana-mobile — I brought this car about a year ago. Was in good 2nd hand condition, still is apart from the clear coat peeling away quite badly now. Although looks like a nana-mobile it is reliable and economical, always starts up in the morning. Relatively cheap to run. Am only now having problems with the front windows but that will come with age/wear and tear.

Pros: Reliable and Economical

Cons: Looks like a Nana-mobile

Confused? — I actually only had the Accord for 2 days... only had 60,000 on it when i bought it. It drove like a dream, nothing appeared wrong.... but somehow... 2 days after i had it.... the tranny dies in the McDonalds drive thru.... my best guess is that the car had been sitting around for so long and needed full service...

Pros: import, great factory parts, durable

Cons: automatic
