Rust Bucket — aDecent. Impressive Power, spacious, ability to handle tight corners with eaze. However it is far fromsturdy, relaxed ride. nor is it smooth. rattles around and feels like your going to collapse in the middle of the road

1989 Toyota Camry LE V6Review

Overall:

One Of The Most Comfortable, reliable, family Cars I've Owned — I have driven my 1989 Camry v-6 LE Wagon for the last 5 years, after purchasing this rust free vehicle from it's second owner. The 6 cylinder engine has great power and quietly handles it chores of hauling the family. The car has nearly 160,000 miles, I am hoping to see 300,000 before I have to retire it. The folding seats make a useful cargo hauler when needed. I experience 19-20 mpg in town and 25-27 mpg on the highway.

Ran great. Great on gas. Had electrical problems. Passenger door power locks permanently locked the door and was too expensive to repair.

1989 Toyota Camry LE Review
GuruHKBY5 says:
Still behind the accord but closing the gap. Too boxy while accord was stylish. Felt staunchly made like a tank having an old man look today? Didnt measure up to the higher end Accords like the LXI and SEI but in a few years the Camry mostly through body style change would catch the accord and outsell them. Today the Civic is back on top over the corolla. Not much else to say... buy the 89 accord LXI or SEI instead.
