Fantastic Fun — absolute classic, when i bought it as a 1.6 gti, but later had a 1.9 engine and all the 1.9 add ons, what an absolute hoot this car was, or it was when it was'nt suffering from a blown up engine, in total i had 5 engines in the car in 2 years, if you have one be careful or it'll go bang Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: the best handling car i have ever driven Cons: kaaaaaaaaaaaa-boom goes the engine |

A Good Small Sporty Car In Its Time That Was Fast — this was a white 1.9 GTI that i bought off of one of lees mates. it went like a rocket and when i mean fast we beat a subaru along the headcorn straights with lee driving. he probably laughing now. it was good fun until the gearbox blew up. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: handling Cons: parts didnt last very long when you drive it fast even though thats what they were for |

Pug 205 Gti Mi16v — This is about the 5th 205 GTi I have owned, when I started driving this was the only hot hatch I wanted and when I took the first one out on test drive I had to have it, it was the basic 1.6 GTi but was great, well balanced and had the best handling of any car I had ever driven.. I finally got a 1.9 GTi off a good friend of mine and thought this car was even better as it was more powerful and a little more fun to drive (forced oversteer!!) This new car has an Mi16v engine fitted running twin weber 45's with moody cams, cut valve seats etc.. it also runs a BE3 1.6 gearbox so accelerates very quickly, I bought it as a road going track car so will have money spent on it.. standard build quality isn't bad even though it is French, lol.. however it was put together, originally, in Coventry.. the car is nearly standard on the outside apart from an auto bonnet that makes it look more aggresive and I coloured the alloys black as well as the grille, its not too much to own or run and is worth all the money in fuel.. the car is great to drive and is more fun than anything else at the moment.. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Fun, Fun Cons: nothing.... |

Peugeot 205 Green — I like the handling and the easy used gearbox. The engine is smooth and revs on 7400 rpm. The max output is in 6400 rpm, 88hp The seats are green and the rest of it is grey/back. I would recommend it to those who like to drive small sporty cars. Pros: Handling, gearbox, engine, interior Cons: Chassis parts have to be replaced often |

Peugeot 205 1.6 Gti — I owned a 205 1.6 GTI for 3 years. It was an '89 model and I paid £2k for it in 1993. I actually sold it at a profit in 1996, (only slightly more than I paid for it mind you!). It used to go well and was one of the best looking hatches I owned. The white colour was a bit naff, but I looked after it and it still looked good 7 years later. The only thing I had to change was a leaking radiator. Running costs weren't tto bad, although parts were quite dear. This car is FUN to drive - oh yes!! Pros: Handling, Performance, Fun Factor Cons: Build quality not brilliant, but good for the price |

Old Faithful 'pug' — One of the best, ran this car in to the ground, and still sold it as a non-runner to some guy from Bristol, who wanted that Diesel version badly. Pros: Great to flick around corners, even though it was a non-turbo version. Great fuel economy.
Cons:
They stopped making it. |
