Dollar For Dollar, This Is The Most Fun One Can Have — I bought the car with 231,000 miles on the original engine. It's been converted into an STS car for autocross and this is SOOO much fun. Running circles around more expensive vehicles is a bonus. In California, you still see a lot of these hatches driving around. Pros: Light, so good gas mileage. Cons: Brake booster weak, soft brake pedal. Distributor fails occasionally. ![]() Looking for a Used Civic in your area?CarGurus has 72,261 nationwide Civic listings starting at $1,900. |

My First Real Car!!!! Magic!!! — A real exotic!!! (You'll understand when you see my previous cars). Wonderfully efficient in all ways, could stuff my bike in the back, would go 100mph eventually, a delightful little car Pros: Lightweight, good fuel economy, FAST (compared to my previous cars, but really it's kinda slow), affectionately named "The Nugget" by my friends Cons: Seats not extremely durable, doesn't like to be flooded by torrential rains (drowns the engine computer) |

Very Reliable And Easy To Modify Car. — Overall this is a great car that gives no major problems and is easy to work on and modify. Pros: Aftermarket parts easy to find.... New & Used parts available. Light body which inturn makes for a good power to weight ratio when modified. Cons: Shape old, some replacement parts hard to find. |

Amazing Car, Gonna Build A Killer Ricer With This. — Car is solid, holding up great, very little rust. Gonna rebuild almost everything on it. Will post new pics and updates when progress begins this summer. Pros: Light Car, amazing handling, lot of room for size. Cons: only primered starting to get much surface rust, dads gf backed into it day after i got it. |

Fastest Sohc 1.6l I Have Driven... — Great car to have to bagg on. I wouldn't like it as a daily due to the lack of power steering.... Otherwise, great car! With the performance mods I did to the car I est. a healthy 130hp. The cam installed boosted the mid-range 15hp and about 8lb-ft torque.... A huge difference on a car that weighs about 3000lbs. Pros: Fast, Fun to drive, Easy on gas (when not bagged) Cons: No (PS,PL,PW, A/C), Rode like a go cart, Major road noise, Too Basic |

Civic-minded — The first 4-door sedan Civic (I'm mostly sure) and it drives almost exactly like the CRX, but with 4-doors and seats 4.5 people with a trunk. Even better, in 1991, the first Civic EX was sold (very limited numbers) and the only Honda of the same era to match its fun was the CRX Si. Pros: light, quick, Honda engine, 4-doors, big trunk, amazing on gas Cons: most stolen Honda ever |

The Most Reliable Unreliable Car I Own. — Yes, I have a Honda Civic. Most people don't know about it because I haven't driven it in a couple of years, since the engine block is cracked (with ~230,000 miles). I bought it for $100 from an acquaintance and fixed the transmission; it ran great for a summer and autumn before dying on me. I had some great memories with that car: my fiance (at the time brand new girlfriend) cut the exhaust off of it with a kitchen knife when the muffler fell off, leaving the rest hanging over the rear axle; my brother and I experienced the (second) hood flying open at full speed, shattering the windshield and making the five mile drive home scary as hell; driving with said broken windshield to Lapeer to get a new one installed, with bits of glass hitting my face along the way. Needless to say, I want to fix this car, if only because I had a lot of fun in six months. Pros: Fun car, manual transmission, cheap, great mileage. Cons: Doesn't run, back brakes never worked, bald tires, put a new exhaust system on it before it died. |
