Theres A First For Everything — This was the first year for the Taurus SHO. For it's time 220 horsepower with a 5 speed manual trans in a 4 door car was unheard of. Engine reliability was flawless. Transmissions had there faults along with a lot of other items. I got this car up to 145 m.p.h. on 131 north one day. Pretty fun, but dumb.

Pros: Great power, Yamaha reliablitiy, a definite creeper.

Cons: Transmission was not made to hold up to the power, and neither were the brakes
