1989 Ford Mustang Lx Sport — I had a 89 Mustang LX Sport which is the LX body with a 302ci engine. This engine was very modified from cobra heads and intake to E303 cam and roller rocker arms BBK headers. This car sounded amazing, But even with all the mods a stock 302 from 89 had 225hp, From what I was told the car ran mid 13s in a 1/4 mile but just didnt seem very fast to me. The automatic tranny in a mustang just had no throttle response.

Pros: Sounded amazing, Ran good, Fun car to drive

Cons: its a Ford..lol

Great Car To Modify — I love these cars, they are cheap, easy to find, and you can fit a big block 460 in it. Mine has a 466 Super CobraJet with 12:1 compression, too much to list, C-6 trans with 3000 stall hughs converter and Fairbanks kit. 8.8 rearend 31 spline axles and posi. 8 point roll bar through the floor subframe kit from Autoweld. Like I said, too much to list. Great car, when talking performance, who cares about gas mileage, its purpose built right??

Pros: Cheap, available, looks good, large perfromance market, you can fit a 460 in it...nuff said

Cons: Structure is a little weak, AOD trans sucks,

Semi-classic Foxbody For Ford Guys. — Not a bad car that I had picked up from a friend for a reasonable price, compared to the Blue Book value. Came with a efi 5.0, AODE transmission with a shift kit and a pair of Nitto 555R slicks. She'd accelerate like a bat out of hell due to it's low curb weight.

Pros: Very fast, fast enough it's gotten me out of trouble a handful of times. :P Pretty good looking, although at the start I didn't like it but the looks grew on me. Tends to get over 26mpg when you can keep your foot out of the throttle. Lots of fun for a low price, parts are cheap and plentiful. Much better performance than any Camaro of the same value. I've owned a 3rd Gen Camaro that was limp compared to this.

Cons: Sucks gas when you get on it for too long! Eats tires up faster than you can buy them. Got me pulled over a few times, mostly warnings. Nothing too bad ever happened tho. The 5.0 is a great motor, and plenty of aftermarket parts. But it's getting pulled for a built up Cleaveland to take her place.

Good First Car — this car is pretty sweet, it's not the micest generation mustang but it's got potential. only problem right now is it's only got the 2.3L inline four but hopefully i'll fix that soon. awesome car great. great deal if you can find one in good shape for $2000 or less I got mine for $250

Pros: good on gas

Cons: terrible power

One Of The Best Cars Ever Made. — The Fox Body Mustangs in my opinion are some of the greatest cars of all time. With the 5.oL 302, they had a good power plant for the light body. As for a better car to build, there isn't one. The 5.0L small block has so much potential. I had a cam (.505 " lift), Explorer intake, BBK throttle body (75mm), Granetelli Mass Air Meter, K&N filter, headers and Flowmaster's and my Stang was running low 13's and high 12's in the 1/4. They are beautiful and fun cars and I would recommend them to anyone.

Pros: Light weight, good base power, attractive

Cons: wheel hop ...

Hell Of Bang For The Buck — Great car. Had to replace the fuel pump a couple times. Brakes are a little weak for the performance. Best bang for the buck.

Pros: Reliable, powerful, easier to maintain, great sound.

Cons: No good in rain, and handling is just okay

Drifting Legend — Aside from the Nissan 300zx this was the best and most exhilarating vehicle I have ever driven. I never experienced more adrenaline flow through my veins than while behind the wheel of this beauty. Burnouts in 3rd gear were common, 5 mpg were common, and pure unadulterated love were common with this vehicle.

Pros: Speed, Adrenaline, Gorgeous

Cons: MPG, Low Gear Ratios

Fast For Cheap — 25th anniversary interior top speed of 150mph new cooker now, 390hp should be good for bottom 12s

Pros: fast, affordable, reliable, decent milage for a V-8

Cons: fair amount of rattles, tiny brakes, weak transmissions

Typical Mustang — accelerates well. stops good enough. bbk headers, flowtech off road x-pipe, flowmaster 40 series (hoping to change soon, gimme some ideas). got about 2500 total into include the car purchase price from a buddy a year and a half ago.

Pros: runs 14.4, everyone is extremely envious of my exhaust.

Cons: gas mileage, need a better lsd in the rear end, lotta worn out stuff in the front end.
