1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe RWDReview

Overall I Like This Car — Overall, when he wanted to work, he was great! I didn't like the interior too much, however it was very roomy. The engine had a few parts that seemed more difficult than they should have been to replace. I do enjoy riding in this car. Now that some mods have been made (complete engine swap) the car sounds amazing and is definitely intimidating. The gas millage on this car is horrible lol, but what do you expect from a 8 cyl. It does handle well and even when we could have lost control/traction when the road is wet, it tended to gain control quickly. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Fast, Powerful, Mean Looking, Sounds Nice Cons: Gas Guzzler |

Decent If It Was A 5 Speed And V8 — this car had the 2.8 l v6 and could not catch up to itself without a back wind. the 2.8 engine is terible and does not last i drove this car a total of 10 days before the engine blew Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: a nice ride Cons: junk motors and rust |

My Baby — i know its not the car for everyone but i love it. it still has the factory motor and trans but thats all that was left factory really. i get 34 mpg with a 5 speed why mess wit that lol. i built this car my senior year of high school and my main care was its looks to me. i have wrecked her but brought her back. i dont believe i will ever part with her. i would not recomend this car for a friend simply for the fact i built her for me, and my likeings Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: its my own personal car Cons: has over 300k miles on motor and trans right now |

Dave's 1989 Iroc-z — The IROC had a 5.7 350ci engine and it was fast as hell. My particular car looked like it came off the showroom floor. The trans went out, and the engine seized shortly after the trans was rebuilt. I would like to have another someday, as redneck as that sounds. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: fast, cool Cons: heavy and expensive to drive |

Built From The Ground Up, Not Bought. — It has quick response (self installed modified 355 Tuned Port Injection engine) breaks decently, could use upgrades there, but hey, its 20 years old. It has no options, which I like, very basic interior, still a muscle car feel on the looks. I have rebuilt damn near everything on it, so nothing is in current need of replacement, it gets decent gas mileage, but it is an older V8, you cant really expect 30 mpg. The car handles like a dream, I up graded the entire suspension when I swapped the motor. She squeaks and rattles a bit, but once again, 20 year old car that hasn't had a full restoration done. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: I know this car inside and out, down to every last wire in the car. Cons: none. |

Awesome! — This is the best car in the world in my opinion. It is fast, handles like a dream, and accelerates like a monster. It doesnt get great gas mileage. It is a beuatiful car and yet so aggresive in its styling. I would only suggest this car if you like driving circles around mustangs or if you like running through mountains at speed. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Handling, speed, looks. Cons: Gas mileage. |
