Drag Car — Good car for a drag platform to build off but stock motor is dogged out with few usable parts, i had to replace the 305 with a 350 along with going to carb, new heads cam and intake manifold, rotating assembly coming soon Pros: cars built strong can take alot of horsepower before it needs to be boxed Cons: stock motor suck for anything better then 14's youll need to do a motor swap |

Beast — This thing is a handful. It packs a fuel injected GM Performance motor w/ 350hp and 400 ft. lbs. run through a gearbox that wont downshift without serious work, back to a standard rear axle, out to $40 tires that won't grip. But it is an amazing feeling driving it. Pros: Fast enough to take on C5 Vettes Cons: No Traction, feels like your driving on ice |

White Rider!! All Show, No Go! Pretty To Look At, Nice To Hole, Smash It Up, Consider It Sold! — suspension was shot, brakes were shot, motor was as tired as a 98 year old man after 3 days of poppin viagara,,,but it sure did look pretty!! Pros: t-tops, 5spd Cons: 2.8L v6 |

Fast, Sporty Awesome In The Summer. — Its a great summer car, and i have also managed to drive it in snow storms haha wouldnt recomend it but i have. Its a fast car that looks great too. Sounds like a muscle car should with a nice V8 under the hood. Pros: Fast, great for summer time driving Cons: sucks on gas, bad in the winter, t-tops will leak just like every other firebird, trans am, comaro would. |

My First Car — My 1st car, loved it. It was a fixer-upper. I had lots of problems with it, but I loved working on it with my dad. It was in bad shape when I bought it, but dad and I almost had it up to showroom quality efore a girl in her mom's Lexis totalled it. Bad day, really bad day. Electronics were a real problem. Can't tell how often I had to get it jumped. Engine worked great though. Lots of fun, even if it wasn't a Trans Am. This picture looks a lot like the one I had, beautiful red paint job, head turner, even around the rich kids. Pros: solid body, fun, Firebird, good engine. Cons: Electronics, esp. the flip up lights and the auto hatch (which wasn't so automatic). |

1988 Gta — My recommendation is to buy them while you can still find them. Great value for the money and they turn heads. Also, there are many aftermarket parts for cheap so maintenance is managable. Only issue is cheap plastic inside car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Timeless design with impressive performance for a 24 year old car. Cons: Rattles and squeaks but at least it has character and style. |
1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Review
Roberto says:
Great car and even at 32 years old it still turns heads! Got it last summer and did some work on it like change the spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor and front brakes and the tensioner. Definitely easier to work on than newer cars, still goes from 0 - 60mph in 6.8 seconds which really is not that great anymore based on todays standard but its one hell of a cool and styling ride! I even installed the red scanner light a la KITT on it. Its a very fun car to go cruising on with the T-tops off and my kids love going on rides in it. My car is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in black color with an L03 305 TBI engine! vs1988 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback RWD

An adventure every time Im behind the wheel. The Firebird Formula looks great, is responsive and handles in the way only a firebird can and thats pure awesomeness. I cant enough good things about this car but for anyone to really know what its like, youre going to have to get one and drive the crap out of it. vs1988 Honda Civic DX Hatchback
