More Trouble Than It's Worth — rotary engines, although beautiful in design and a great powerplant, tend to be very, very finicky, and can cause a lot of expensive maintenance on almost a weekly basis. great design, great performance all around, but the mechanics need to be further honed by mazda and mercedez. Pros: lots of potential Cons: finicky engine, expensive parts |

Fast, Fun, Cheap, And Fragile — This was my first car and I paid $600 for it, so it's not one to really compaire to others. It was fast, and handled excellent, but some parts are very fragile, not to mention the rotary engine has very little in common with a regular gas engine. The rotary runs hotter and is less effecient than a regular gas engine. That being said, the rotary will scream and revs to 9000rpm and no sweat. Has that true racecar feel to it while driving. I does have some problem areas though such as the transmission and the differential mount. Pros: fast, fun, feels like a real racecar, very easy to drive fast, cheap Cons: Rotary is complicated and not many machanics understand it, fragile, at this point most are old and worn out. |

Love It! — Handling 5/5 Braking 4.5/5 4 piston caliper are coming soon! Acceleration 3.5/5 Could be better, turbo soon so it will kick some ass! The car is as reliable as another 88 car, it's not because it has a rotary engine inside its not reliable. It's because it's a 88-one! Pros: Handling, style, sound. Cons: Bad gas milleage... no low-end power. |

1988 Mazda Rx7 — Ive always been Mazda guy since my first which was a 93 Mazda Mx6. After a little hesitation because of the legendary gas milage and terrible reliability of the infamous RX7, i decided to jump. I bought two and made one kick but car out of the two. Now i beleive that you havent driven a Mazda until you've driven a Rx7. Pros: Quick, amazing handling, extremely light, RWD, high RPM torque, Great drift car. Cons: 17 MPG, LOOOOOONNNGGG warm up time. |

Need Money To Keep This Car — Must Love Rotary's to deal with these cars, I love the way she drives and the performance of the engine just needs a turbo, Cost to damn much for parts. Canyon runs are the bomb in this car, At times I love to kick the clutch at high RPM and let the car go nuts!!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: I love this car Cons: Cost to much in gas and up keep is harsh |
